| | Banned Join Date: Nov 2004 Posts: 171 | Wave 5 out at Canadian Walmarts. UGLY cards!!!! Well after reading about a sighting of Wave 5 Joes at Walmart I decided to take a look for myself at my local Walmart. I was lucky enough to come across 2 lonely figs. Crimson Guard (YAY!!!!) and Sgt. Flash.
HOWEVER!!!! Much to my dismay they have butchered the cards for the figs to be released in Canada. I could describe them to you, but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words...... |

those are just embarrassing. On the other hand, i still haven't seen wave 5 :(
heh, and those name stickers are dead sexy ;)

If you look at the card back the "other figures" images start at wave 5. |

We have a stupid language law that requires that all things sold here must have both English and French. To save the costs of making changes to all the different cards, they would usually make one generic card. The amount of stuff we get in total is a lot less than what there is in the US so that's why it's cheaper for them to do this. As a kid and up to this day, I absolutely hate that law and I'm a bit biased cause I live in the west coast where French is hardly used. As a kid, I hated it cause our filecards will have a lot less text so that they can accomodate the French. Just look at a US and a CDN filecard comparison on Yojoe.com and you'll know what I mean. |

The cards have always been part of the fun in getting the figures.
