I don't even think it is reasonable to expect Hasbro to have a definite answer for this question. |

I'm worried about this simply because my experience with Hasbro's "hiatus"-ed lines was with the TF Alternators line, which got me back into toy collecting... I loved the quality and engineering behind them, but the TF movie (whether just a coincidence or not) seemed to cancel this line in favor of the better-selling movie toys
Like the collector oriented Titanium line, the line just didn't sell to expectations, certainly not for the investment (and Takara's own problems at the time didn't help, Alternators lasted as long as they did due to the shared costs between Hasbro and Takara). Alternators would have been gone by summer 2007 one way or the other. But, by putting lines on "hiatus", it leaves them a back door to revive the line when and if they choose (the last pair of Transformers Titaniums that hit nearly 2 years AFTER the line had been canned at retail, or the fact Hasbro released Alternators Rodimus nearly a year AFTER the apparent end of its line at retail, etc)

I am confident that is the plan and will probably happen, but I doubt they would ever say it was definite. if the scrapping of the single waves and comic packs into the 7 packs shows anything, it is that plans change, even if it is just a matter of distribution. what people really want to hear is that the 25th line, as it is now, will simply resume at some definite time immediately after the movie. that I don't think will happen, not that we won't get classic figures again.

I would note, for the record and to the best of my knowledge Hasbro has never used the word "hiatus" in conjunction with the 25A/Modern Era/"Classic" product. It's been tossed around a lot by the collectors, but has never left Hasbro's lips (again, to my knowledge) in this particular instance. Indeed in many ways Hasbro seems to consider the movie figures an outgrowth of their already-existing 3 3/4" line. Yes, it's accompanied by a rebranding, new SKU's, etc... but Hasbro isn't drastically changing the format of the figures...just the source(s) they're being drawn from.
I would also note that 3 3/4" figures went on "hiatus" and did in fact come back. "Hiatus" doesn't actually mean cancellation. They didn't say the end of Sigma 6 was a "hiatus" they said it was an "ending for the forseeable future." Likewise with Indiana Jones. When something is definitively ending, Hasbro isn't usually particularly coy about it (at least not recently). They put the writing on the wall for quite a while before they finally come out and say it. Last edited by Jmacq1; 02-26-2009 at 09:06 PM.. |

Hasbro: There are Nemesis(Immortal)Enforcer comic packs available at retail and many online vendors have them available right now! Run don't walk to your nearest retail store or computer to get yours before they are all gone! It might only take 5 years, but we will sell them all, now come on guys just buy the Nemesis Enforcer and LT Falcon comic pack already please.

What is Brian Goldner like as a dude? Is he embarassing to hang out with, or is he the life of the party? Do you guys all bro down at his place, and think of ways to sell us the same stuff multiple times, or did you genuinely think we wanted a baby blue Wild Bill?

With the exception of Golobulos, I'd like a Cobra La pack. I always thought the Royal Guards, Nemesis Enforcer, and Pythona to be noteworthy additions to the Cobra forces. Make It an online pack where they would be produced in lower numbers so the collectors can pick and choose if they want to buy them or not

Actually, Ive got a real question....Sgt. Slaughter was a con exclusive a few years back (despite Jakks Pacific holding rights at the time), is there a possibilty the collectors club could make the 25th Sarge a reality?
