Dear Hasbro,
WTF were you thinking when you designed the movie line? Do you understand that if you just continued the 25th anniversary line with some movie tie ins, you would have probably sold more toys? Also what are you going to do with all the plastic from the shelf warmers from the movie line? Can you re-melt them and use them for something productive? |

Hasbro, how quickly do you expect the PITT to go on clearance? And when it goes on clearance, do you expect it to go around $7 so the Hawk figure could be affordable?

I don't know, designing toys to coincide with the movie, which consumers would be expecting? please Hasbro, don't waste your time with this question. and really, they would have sold more toys if they just added "some" movie toys to the 25th line? really? how so? actually, I don't expect you to be able to answer that question considering the rationale your post has exhibited already, so just consider that a rhetorical question. |

I swore to myself that I wouldn't snidely respond to asinine questions, but I can't help myself.

From what I've read and from what I've seen, the general consensus of the Joe collectors has been disappointment. No one has stated that everyone in the world won't be buying these figures, clearly that won't be the case. Everyone on the board should hope the movie line is successful just for shear longevity of the Joe brand. That being said I'm sure I can speak for the overwhelming majority in stating that we want our 25th line to continue, and the movie line is throwing a wrench in the works. A wrench that if successful enough could spell the end of the 25th line of Joes. Now, before everyone attacks me for saying that, remember when they killed The Robot Rebellion line in favor of Signa Six. It was under the premise that Robot Rebellion was just on hiatus during the Sigma Six launch. Also remember that the Sigma Six line was also put on hiatus when the initial release of the "25" 25th figures. Hasbro has a history of putting things "on hiatus" and never returning to them. Especially in the Joe brand.

Everyone here is entitled to their own opinion and shouldn't be lambasted for stating it. Especially when the lambaster is in the overwhelming minority. J/K. LOL.

I wasn't saying that because anything I said was being commented on (before now), I was saying that because there seems to be a fair amount of hostility on this thread coming from both sides of the fence. It's unneccesary. Nor have I said one thing in regards to the collectors who support the movie line "not being true fans". If you feel it absolutely neccesary to comment on my opinion, don't put words in my mouth. There's a handful of the movie toys that I will be picking up. But certainly not all of them. All I'm saying is that I've heard more negative feedback on the movie line than positive (by a hundred-fold) and based on that, the general consensus of the movie line is dissapointment. When using the term 'consensus', It's already implied that I don't speak for everybody, just the people who have made their opinion known.
