Though cloth may have not looked as good, this is one figure in the line that would have benefitted from soft goods, specifically the coattail. Range of motion would have been great for the legs, and for a ninja figure, this is pretty much a must. Kids will be disappointed that they can't put this guy into some of the poses they see in the movie. I am not a kid, but when you are a kid, and you have a ninja figure, you want it to be able to move like a ninja.
I've had ninja joes hindered like this before, like my VVV Kamakura figure & 1 of the VVV Cobra ninjas in red and gray. Hindered articulation on a ninja figure, especially a G.I. Joe figure, is disappointing. It's like Duke-arm only for ninjas, and with legs affected instead. |

I don't think it looks that bad at all. Seems very similar to the RAH version with a few tweaks here and there, but not bad.

Hell, I like him! I'm still a purest though for the 83 style. Lot of great customizing potential on this fig though.

He looks better than I expected, but I still have no interest in picking him up.

Hmmm... new head, arms and legs and I've got myself a Dr Venom. That Tunic and shirt would make a great lab coat.

I like it...simple and effective. Good for custom work. Not crazy about the lack of leg movement but I will wait to judge when I buy. Likely one of the few movie based toys I'll buy.

Thank you Shin and AC for braving the masses and the crowds of torches and pitchforks to give us a detailed review/preview of this figure so that people have a more informed choice of the quality of this figure.
