Seems by reading most post the choices of figures for the FSS2 is a downer.
Is there any chance the club can reverse some of their decision making at this point and make different figs? Perhaps if there isn't enough people subscribing this time around, they won't have enough capital on hand to materialize this series and will have to cancel. Makes you wonder. |

Lots of meh characters. Seam Joe variant beat out Cobras.

In regards to updates to ARAH figures and their international variants, as long as they are done well, I'm pretty easy to please. I'm pretty happy with the list. From being a MOTUC subscriber I know full well that the way to keep costs down is to reuse the molds as often as possible, and each new sculpt drives the cost up. I've heard that from Scott at Matty so many times. We're going to get at least 2-3 straight repaints per sub just to keep costs down, and since there were sub teams and international repaints, this is a good way to do that. If they cut them out, we'll be paying more than $25 per fig if there is even a sub. In regards to the quick turn around and large monitary output in a short period, I don't see why the club doesn't charge monthly, or when the figs are shipped like the MOTUC sub does. It would make it easier since we've all shelled out big bucks for the con stuff and the final FSS 1 payment.

Other then that, I love this list. Bombardier and Tollbooth especially. The only one really don't care about is Cesspool. Desert Scorpion will become a unique character, with that name, because I don't think troop builders should be in the FSS. Too hard to make a squad or troop of 'em.

And Iron Klaw is leader of the I.R.O.N Army, not actually a "Cobra". The point is they are loosely broken into "Joes(OG)" & "Cobras (IGs etc)". The distinction is clear from their Joe or Cobra labeled stands. It's good guys vs. bad guys when you boil it down, but the bad guys are under represented. That's my point.

Some things that aren't being covered here, or aren't very clear.
- They are not making Pythona. Probably no one is. The Club was very clear that there would be a lot of unique pieces to her, and that would make it cost-prohibitive. - Nobody asked about Iceberg. As much hate and vitriol spinning around here, apparently for the most part, it's just not that big of a deal. Plus, they pretty-much forewarned on Facebook that it was the vintage head retooled. - The FSS tries to hit a lot of categories, and that's part of the reasoning behind some of the seemingly strange choices. "Classic", new sculpt, foreign, and cancelled/unmade figures. |
