wonder what's up with the tag team art ~ you'd think they could keep that consistent on the 1st issue...

I like your assessment Shin, but I can't believe Hama still has it. After all, he was "losing" it towards the last third of the Marvel run, and his Devil's Due stuff was sub-par. I guess I'll have to make the judgment on my own. lol Anyone can mimic what they've done in the past, but if Hama can break new ground and come up with fresh stuff, I'll admit it. But, based on your review, I can already see that it's going to be littered with too much of Hama pulling out the abbreviations and silly things like the code words that mean something else with alot of not-so-subtle reveals and foreshadowing. I'm expecting to be hit over the head with a hammer of "see, it all ties together". Thanks for your review. I truly hope it's as good as you recommend. I am looking forward to reading it.

With these books he doesn't have to write to sell toys, he can go all out without having to write in a certain vehicle to match the commercials on TV and whatnot. While I was reading this issue, I was surprised, for the most part because I've read Hama's work before. It's a great read, that didn't feel like it was "more of the same". Quote:

The DDP Storm Shadow mini-run of 7 issues was awesome...until the last issue. What a letdown. A great build up to a anti-climactic ending. The SNAKE-EYES Declassified series was overall better IMO.
So does ORIGINS #1 hit tomorrow wednesday, or next week wednesday? and how many darn variant covers this time? |

I just did some more research and it's a 1:1 ratio (only 2 covers, awesome!!) and it's release dated for Feb.25th 2009... hmmm.
