Concept Illustrator John Eaves has been added to the Live Action G.I. Joe Movie Team. John Eaves has an extensive resume with his work on Star Trek, and was a model maker on films such as Top Gun, Alien 3, Batman Returns, and most recently, X-Men: The Last Stand.

The Concept Illustrator for any film is a Key player and this guy is good at what he does.

This is pretty good news. Those models in Top Gun were fairly seamless.

Yeah, he's big in Star Trek.

He always gets praise for having designed the Enterprise E. Yes, he also designed the NX-01 for Enterprise, but I'm sure the similarities with the Akira class were the result of Berman & Braga trying to be "cool" :p



His biggest challenge will be to come up with an updated and realistic look for Cobra. As well as coming up with a solution for Destro and his mask.

As for the Joe team, I'm guessing he'll have top fun designing Snake Eyes' "stealth" commando outfit (?)
