I don't think kids were the ones clamoring for 1970/80s style army men, that was collectors. I don't think kids were wishing they had a build-a-kit based on a doomsday weapon from an old cartoon most of them never saw, that was for collectors. It wasn't kids wishing for those old, odd looking vehicles or specific repaints of the same figure to represent a new subgroup, or updated versions of obscure characters with accurate retro packaging and direct re-copies of their original bios. The entire 25th Anniversary line came about because collectors would buy them. At the same time, they're cool enough so that kids today will buy them as well. Infact Hasbro's push to bring more figures to the 3 3/4th scale size was a double whammy allowing kids and collectors to get more toys for less money so they would have the ability to make those obscure repaints and release those bizarre vehicles we grew up with. While it's clear Hasbro loves to focus on the kids, it certainly doesn't ignore it's collectors. |

I keep mine MIB. I get a few odd stares, but it's worth it to know I can sell them on eBay in a couple of years for 10 times the price.

the stickers on the raven look like they are painted on and not decals which is cool but on the other hand customizing means covering them up oh well at least the decals match the O.G. raven the landing gear looks sturdier and so does the seats hydrolic lift

I'm actually glad Hasbro is including "other" figures with movie vehicles. We might never get a Motor Viper without that Cobra SUV being released with the movie. If there is a no "official" driver from the movie, the Motor Viper is a perfect choice. They can "guss him up" if they re-do the STUN later.
It is much better than Hasbro releasing the same Scarlett with a new paint job to go with the Scarab. Yes, having the Joes in their arctic gear would be cooler, but to maintain cost effectiveness, re-using parts is going to be standard. So a new Snow Job we can customize is a welcome sight for me. Frostbite is the odd-ball here. He doesn't look like the vintage one and he carries the frostbite name. I am taking a guess he is actually in the movie, but only in the scene with this vehicle (keeping him from being a single carded figure). My only question is... What will Hasbro do about Cover Girl? I guess that all depends if she gets a vehicle to drive in the movie. If not, I hope she gets single carded fig. Also, I hope Clutch makes it in the 2nd movie if he doesn't get into this one.
