Well..this makes it official. That "plane" looks downright horrible. No drone and whats with the gaudy, angular designs? Theres no way with that kinda cockpit I can see that plane flying properly. I held out hope that maybe the vehicle would shine some glimmer of hope...but personally I feel let down. Please classic line hurry back.
I find it really funny that people will complain about the "angular" Night Raven looking like it wouldn't fly properly.... But happily accept the open/uncovered cockpits and turrets of a multitude of vehicles in the old line just fine. Seriously...you're worried that the movie Raven looks like it won't fly but think that a HISS Tank would work really great on a "real world" battlefield? In short, if you're complaining about things not being "classic" enough and trying to complain that the new stuff doesn't look "realistic" enough...you're really being pretty darn hypocritical. |

"Obviously" you can't read English:
You said: I brought up the REAL LIFE: SR-71 Blackbird, which does in fact fly in real life. Despite having a wingspan that's only half its' body length. (Length: 110 ft, Wingspan: 55 ft.) You fail at aeronautical trivia...and reading comprehension. and reading and writing are 2 differnt things (------) and it doesnt change the fact that the new raven sucks |

It doesnt hit my nostalgia pleasure center, but I can definitely see kids (hopefully my nephew) liking them, everything except the Rockslide (I think it looks like crap). Holding off my nostalgia hunger, I like the Night Raven, good update, but I dont think Id buy it. I probablly will get the Hummer though for my Alley Vipers.

I was hoping the night raven would be a rerelease/update. Disappointment there, and more when you add in the giant multiple missle launcher in the wing. I like the moto viper with the scarab, but dislike the hummer and giant missle launcher on its back. The joe vehicles will be easy to pass on.

Well this is a first, I am unimpressed. The night raven might be the only purchase from this assortment. The vehicles look like they belong to the TMNT line.
Hate to sound negative - but those pictures are not making me love the line. |

hmmm and what made G.I.Joe popular again??? the 25th "classic" stuff of our beloved joes in original new sculpts!!!...these movie figures are gonna clutter the pegs just like the indiana jones stuff will.....regardless of what you think of the 80's, its whats selling right now! just watch and see...the movie figs will rot on the clearence shelves
Here's a clue: Millions of dollars flooding Hasbro's coffers due to the G.I. Joe franchise = Very good for the long-term health of the franchise, including expanded and revived "classic" offerings. Millions of dollars being lost from retailer's coffers due to movie product sitting/having to be clearanced out = retailers not wanting to buy future G.I. Joe product, which means little or no return of the "classic" line at all. Quote:
