Why do fanboys think they are the center of the Universe? There's, what?, like five big G.I.Joe sites? I'd say at least 1/3 if not 1/2 of the posters are on at least 3 out of the 5. Then there are probably 1/4 of posters (usually that board's mods) that are loyal to just their board. That's not that many people. I'm sure there are collectors that aren't vocal on boards, but that's still not a lot.

so seeing them next week as opposed to last week will drastically effect your ability to buy them in a month or two? are you serious, because that is inherently what your post said. I won't expect a reasonable answer considering your first statement was completely asinine and reveals zero analytical ability to come to the conclusion that Hisstank arbitrarily turned their tails and ran.

Probably none. They probably have somebody that keeps an eye on the Web sites. They just saw that HissTank had pics from the first page and sent the necessary E-mail. Do you really think they have time to read through all this drivel?

Now there might be a site or two out there who Hasbro didn't send to simply because they are so small that Hasbro doesn't even know about them. |

We don't. All he asked was whether the H guys read what we wrote, hardly a post that warrants the reply you gave.
That being said, while we're not the center of the universe, we do comprise a large portion of Hasbro's market, and those of us that are more vocal on sites like this are always looked at by companies such as Hasbro as representing the opinion of a larger number of customers. Quote:
Glad you got that fixed

Unless the Flagg is in the movie, don't bet on it...even then it is a far cry since it will be out of the reach of most familys in the current economy...it would probaley end up looking like a huge Stealth boat with black paint and neon green missile launchers anyway...since they want to change just about everything esle cept the names.
Everyone continues to try and put this Joe movie and comically deisgned movie figures into the Transformers mold. Transformers are like Star Wars, they get tons and tons and tons of re-itterations, remakes and new figure/vehciles lines....almsot every other year When was the last time the vintage stuff from 82-89 for Joe made that ended up being a huge success? I see some flaws with that line of thinking that GI JOE shoudl behave exaclty like TF or Star Wars (I am a Joe fan more than eithe rof those and only collected 1-2 re-issued TFs back in 99-2002, Thundercracker and Starscream). Where did they get the money to make the 25th line? It sure did not come from Sigma 6, VvV or Spytroops. It most likley came form their new CEO who decided to get the brand back up and going and this was PRIOR to the movie as a risky move and he won on that bet. The movie is just there for additional name recognition and I am sure they hav ebeen wanting to get it out at some point but have made a horirbley decision to go the route they are. If all the kids end up hating it and then the movie toys sit on shelves like the Hulk figures do, you can kiss what the 25th started goodbye. My argument is why that has to happen, why destroy something that was going so well and did not need a huge hoopla about it's need to make huge sells to continue? They could not have made the movie figures if the 25th stuff never sold at all now could they by that line of thinking? Or wait for it...they could just do it at anytime regardless and make a toy that would not sell well or sell great they have the profits and manufacturing ability to do whatever the hell they want. They knew the anniversay would draw us all back in quickly and it was geared to us who wanted to re-live having the toys we either had or long ago lost. As long as they seriously continue to make orignal remakes of the original vehciles and figures in thier true colors, uniforms and look as the modern era/25th figures did, I will be extremeley happy, but with the sentimnt to make just the movie figures and allow them to rpelace everything bothers me to the point of why get me started just to bait and swicth me at the end. But until I am proven wrong, I seriously doubt that and it is dangerous to start changing things like Breaker and Ripcord, becuase it is very easy for them to use the same tactic of saying "We did this to prevent the kiddies form being confused as to who was in the movie and who was original, so to keep it safe we will only release movie lore based figures in the future". The reason I say that is everyone is so concearned that if the kiddies don't buy it or get confused you can kiss the 25th line goodbye. This is more than enough reason why they should not have allowed such a deviation from what they were doing to the movie stuff to occur. It is just like above "don't fix what aint broke", GI JOE does not need to be reivineted in story or character, it needs modernization and we have already seen what they can do through the 25th and the Modern Era carded figures/vehicles. Just thought of something else, with the card deisgn and packaging of these movie items, how will they ship original 25th figures and vehicles, unless they chnage th epackaging of the 25th to match? They are way different and I doubt they will ship them in the same shipping boxes for 1-2 25th era figures per release, hmm more reason for concearn now, weee great hasbro way to go! we're at the obama age where things must change GI JOE does need to be reivineted in story and character. after all if you get the same chracter in the same old 80's suit it get bland and boring the movie toys are new and exciting to me. maynot be your cup of tea my friend, but GIJOE must change with the times like it or not. with sigma 6 kids will remember it and since the film is infulance by the recent GIJOE toyline and cartoon kids will reconise it. since 1964 joe has change for the sake of joe to survive. but then i'm just keeping a positive mind and hope that GIJOE will be a main brand. look buddy a 12inch gijoe fan died at 47. it is clear to me that hasbro must cator to children and not just the fanboys. as i said before kids must take notice and hasbro is doing all in theyre power to bring GIJOE back to kids. we fans should be damn greatful to have the 25th aniversary figures. its time to move aside old timer, let the kids have they're joes. |

This is exactly how I feel. As much as I think that these new movie figures are crap, I really hope the line sells like gangbusters. I'm also glad Hisstank fulfilled Hasbro's request to take the photos down. We want Hasbro to be with us and not against us, people.

If I had a website and posted GI Joe pics that was later asked to be removed by Hasbro. I would make it a pain to to ask me just as it is a pain to ask Hasbro a simple question. As in any big company website for that matter.
