The movie is going to flop. The Gi Joe franchise has not had the exposure in recent years that Transformers has. There has been no cartoon, and that is what grabs kids today. Teens today have no recognition to the brand. Teens are the ones going to movies. Why are there so many PG13 movies? To bring in all the teens. I love movies, rent a lot, but go to very few. A movie ticket is $8..so a family of four is $32!!!!! Throw in popcorn, drinks, candy, etc. and a trip to a movie is over $50. I can buy the DVD at Best Buy for under $20 in six months, watch it on my 50 inch TV with surround sound, with no loud mouthed assholes talking behind, no jerk on his cell phone, no asshole kicking my seat, no 15 year old little bitch gettting up 12 times in front of me to go talk to friends in another row. Now for a movie I really want to see, I'll brave all of that and go see it, for something I am serious disappointed in the way it has been handled, hell no. And a lot of people will be just like me.

I'm one of those people. But i do customs of pretty much every figure i get. I'm not a "true collector" (if that has some meaning), i just buy what i like. Most of the Joes get fixes, others are completely cut to pieces, etc. What i like most is the mainframe, the structure of the Joes. I keep the figures that remind me of my childhood, or the characters that look good, and that's all. These figures give me the opportunity to make other characters too, and if hasbro decides to release other characters (say the Ghostbusters for example ;) ) i'll buy them. These figures are not the Joes that i knew as a child of course, but i'm not going to say "they're raping my childhood memories" because that's not true. These figures are still great action figures, that i see as a good opportunity to make more figures. Quote:

Most of you can point out which transformer is who, but most of kids not. They only see a great toy. Same goes with these figures; they see a great soldier, with big weapons that actually shoot. Also, it's not them who pays the toys. They get what their parents buy them, same as you and me when we where kids. I wanted He-man, but instead my mom bought me Faker *grumble* :P |

I see what you mean. Over here, going to the theater costs...hum, about 4 of your usd, so, going out like you (wifey, kiddo) buying a few sodas plus popcorn would be something like 20 usd |

I admit that I will probably only get Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow-- That's pretty much it... I am avid collector of any figure from the family of Arashikage.
I personally think they look OK... Not the best, compared to the 25th anniversary line; but OK..... |

Hasbro is really starting to piss me off. People are not going to get behind this movie if they don't start allowing us to look at things. Granted most of the comments were negative, but there were some positives. Just ridiculous.
