Their changes made sense, but they didn't suddenly make Spidey an inner-city minority or Wolverine a walking porcupine.
These properties have survived and thrived for 25 + years for a reason. I just don't want to see too much of what made them done away with. |

I think Bryan Singer did the same with X2, and Guillermo del Toro has done it consistently with Blade II, Hellboy, and El Laberinto del fauno. Bruce Timm's team was even doing it in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. There's no reason why there can't be balance in this project.
I'm not asking for something that will get Academy Award nominations, just something more than Michael Bay provides, you know? Quote: |

As long as Breaker is still Breaker, I'll be okay with his accent and appearance not totally matching.
He better blow bubbles, though. ;) Quote: |

I also meant to mention Nolan's Batman films as another example of a modernized telling done correctly. |

I still think Larry Hama should have been hired as a consultant to help nail down the essence of these characters. |

I actually started a Roadblock/Heavy Duty thread at yojoe.com.
I am pretty sure there is a legal reason. That is why when the T-Crotch New Sculpts started up we got Heavy Duty and why when Sigma 6 started there was Heavy Duty. I don't know what it is and I can't find a link, but it seemed like it was along the lines of "Agent" Scarlett, "General Abernathy", "Sgt" Flash.
I think Hasbro knows Roadblock is more popular. He was in the 25th 5 pack...I just think there is something legal going on...
I could be wrong... |

Or better yet, don't lower yourself to the Michael Bay fan's level, those who accept style over substance. | Do I know you? Maybe from another board?
Well said btw.
