They're chipping away, little by little, at the team as we knew it.
Get ready, this is only the beginning... |

As far as Roadblock, I was annoyed as a kid at the rhyming, so the only difference to me is they used a different name.....big whoop |

Get ready, this is only the beginning... | Yes they are. This is a new continuity. Rinse and repeat as many times as it takes to understand that.
...and please... Don't lower yourself to a Transfan's level. The continued bitterness of their vocal minority is evident to this day. |

Get ready, this is only the beginning... | Why do you say this? Because they choose Heavy Duty over Roadblock? Big deal. Or is that they are "foreign" actors? Again, big deal. Long as they can keep the overall feel of the Joe "mythology" it will work. There is no "Bay-like theatrical experience" going on here yet. Like todd_m6d said, don't be like the hyper-sensitive G1 TF fans, it's getting old. Besides, the movie was entertaining. That's what is important. |

Can G.I. Joe be something of "substance"? Not likely. But it certainly can be entertaining. That is important. If it lacks that, then there will be no sequal and all this bitching is pointless. |

I am fearful of another property that I love from my childhood is going to be changed in many ways for no good reason.
G.I. Joe, A real American Hero.
There are plenty of characters in the Joe mythology that can be used if they want to give parts to other nationalities to add 'PC flavor'. There's no need to change established characters.
THIS is why I compared it to the Bay TF "film".
Megatron was a pile of wlking parts, Starscream had no personality, Jazz ('sup bitches?), Bumblebee pissing on somebody.
I'm just afraid that's where they're headed. So far all they've gotten right is Scarlett as a woman and an Asian guy to play Storm Shadow, although he'll speak with a heavy accent. Ray Park as a stubby Snake Eyes. Brilliant. |

I PRAY that I'm wrong, just as I did leading up to July 4th of this past summer.
I just want a Joe film that's faithful to the frranchise. So far my skepticism has only been supported by the decisions made and rumors leaked. |
