Hasbro's 5th G.I. JOE Q&A: The Answers have been sent out and many sites have posted their Report for the latest G.I. Joe news.
Also www.GIJoe.com has posted this update to the fans! Quote:
Reminder on Product Information Releases from Hasbro
The coming year is going to be very exciting for Hasbro’s boys properties. We realize that fans are anticipating 2008 as much as we are, and that speculation on our line is a large part of the excitement. Fans of Hasbro’s boys brands may be noticing some information circulating on the web. While you may be tempted to believe that this information is accurate, we want to remind our fans, that unless product information or images are posted on an official Hasbro brand site, brand Q&A, or released by Hasbro’s Corporate Communications team, the information is not authorized and therefore not official. We do not want to get consumer hopes up when rumors turn out to be unfounded. We can’t wait to share great information, images and products with fans of all ages at the appropriate time as determined by Hasbro and, as appropriate, our licensors.

Cool Toy Review: Will we see Quick Kick in the 25th Anniversary Line-up?
Hasbro: Yes. Cool Toy Review: Being a former Coastie, Cutter is my favorite Joe. Any chance of a new version of him in the outfit he had with the W.H.A.L.E.? Maybe with a removable life preserver and removable hat? Hasbro: The bad news is that Cutter is not planned. The good news is that with a new life vest coming on a future figure, you can work with our customizing friends at Joe Customs and make one. Cool Toy Review: Why is it that instead of a 25th Anniversary comic-based figure pack we don’t get (at least once) a cartoon-based pack? There’s a great number of characters that showed a remarkable variant look on the classic cartoons such as: Ace, Cover Girl(MASS Device), Lady Jaye, Wild Bill, Sparks, Torpedo, Breaker, Flint, and the “Green Shirts” (among others) that would make an outstanding appearance as figures. Although they don’t have to come with a DVD, that shouldn’t be a problem since Hasbro has released figures with CDs/DVDs containing some of the classic cartoons recently. Hasbro: We plan on officially addressing our stance on vehicles this year at Toy Fair. Until then we just ask that you bear with us. Cool Toy Review: What are the chances of a series of single carded figures based on the comic books? I'd love a 25th Anniversary styled Scar Face, Fred, Billy, Hard Master, Soft Master, and other origin Snake Eyes characters. Hasbro: There is a chance that some of these will make it into the comic 2-packs, but unlikely they will be single carded. Cool Toy Review: How long are you planning to keep the 25th Anniversary line going? At some point, the movie figures will inevitably take over, but are you planning to keep this new line's look going until then or are you thinking of continuing it for years to come? Hasbro: The plan is to continue this line up to the movie. As for what's coming in 2010 for 3¾'' figures...let's just get through Christmas 2007 for now!

TNI: Will Snake Eyes v.2 of the 25th Anniversary line receive the same crotch re-tooling as Stalker? Will we see a painted black version of Snake Eyes v.2 as we have with version 1?
Hasbro: The plan is to use the updated Snake Eyes body in 2008 and the black V2 Snake Eyes is in Wave 4 2007. TNI: Will Major Bludd and Wild Bill also be included with Battle Armor Cobra Commander, Rock N' Roll, and Lt. Torpedo for Wave 6? Hasbro: No, Major Bludd and Wild Bill were pushed back to Wave 3 of 2008. When you see the results, you will agree it was worth the wait. TNI: When can we expect an announcment on the future of the Comic license? Hasbro: We are hoping to have an annoucement early in the new year. TNI: What, if anything, can Hasbro do about increasing availability of the 25th Anniversary figures to consumers? Hasbro: Hasbro is addressing this by increasing the production runs based on the early success of 25th anniversary. TNI: It's almost 2008. What can you tell us about new vehicles for the 25th Anniversary line? Will we see any beyond the three Target exclusives shown at Joe Con, and if so will they be re-released RAH vehicles, new molds, or a mixture of both? Hasbro: We are currently exploring vehicle initiatives and will have official news to share at Toy Fair in February.

1) In the 80's, the GIJoe comic was used to help sell the toy line and vice versa. Will Hasbro ever embrace this type of "multi-media blitz" to the line again with a television series, comic, and toy line all cross-promoting each other?
Yes, take a look at Transformers for an example of Hasbro embracing multi-media around a big event movie. 2) If the 8" S6 line has been discontinued, are there any plans to integrate characters introduced in S6 to the 25th line? This was discussed and theteam decided to stay true to the 80's for the anniversary line rather than add Sigma characters. 3) Is there any chance at all of seeing characters from the entire history of G.I. Joe in the 25th format? (I'd love to see 4" versions of characters from the 12" Adventure Team days, and even 4" versions of characters from G.I. Joe Extreme and Sgt Savage.) Interesting idea. While anything is possible in the long run, there are currently no plans for this. 4) There been plenty of requests to see new male arms, particularly, in the case of Gung Ho, Flint, Breaker, and Rock N Roll, newly tooled arms with short sleeves, or bare arms. When can we expect these to be made? We can forward this request onto the design team and see what we can do for you! 5) Any chance of releasing small playsets such as Cobra Bunker, Watch Tower, Cobra Surveillance Port or Check Point Alpha? (Perhaps released as a Battle pack with a couple of figures - similar to the five-packs sold under the "Star Wars" brand currently. Currently no plans for playsets in 2008

Black V2 Snake Eyes in wave 4 2007?
That would mean it should be out right now. Perhaps it'll be the Snake Eyes included in this wave: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/p...42&mode=retail |
