I'll say..this stuff looks to be pure crap and for the kids only....looks like I'll be looking at vehicles only, as long as they are not in crappy colors....saves me money...all I care about is 25th stuff and characters we dont have yet

Destro, i will GLADLY give ths movie a chance. I agree, we need to see it in action. I will say that I don't find the toys that appealing. I hope for a better Baroness figure, as I don't like the face sculpt, but I actually don't mind the rest of the figure. Breaker does not impress, but let's face it here. We haven't seen the heavy hitters yet. Duke, SE, CC, Destro, SS. yeah, Baroness is (by majority) a let-down, but I think that once the figure is in people's hands, they will pick it up. I'll wait until better, clearer pictures are provided until I make my decision, but I'm not waving off the movie figures yet. i do like Breaker having gear though, just wish the pictures were better. |

The briefcase looks pretty cool. I wish we'd get some offical images, I can't really make an accurate judgment about the movie stuff with these blurry images.

Every day I get a little more worried. While my plan was to give the movie(and it's toy line) a chance, Hasbro has really given us nothing to see. No offical figure/vehicle pictures, no trailer, and just barely a few crummy stills. I really want to give it a chance, but they are not making it easy.

Awesome. It looks like they'll be gear toward kids due to the weapons. Just like some of the old stuff. I wish most people would be more appreciative of the figures. They're action figures not display only items. That Breaker looks awesome.

I don't believe that's true at all. It looks exactly like the figures we're getting now and definitely not for kids only. They still have actual weapons and spring loaded stuff for the kids who will buy them. The figures look a hell of a lot better than most other non-Hasbro brands. Some of the weapons that are meant to appeal to kids are not what collectors want cause most collectors are over the age 20. I'll admit the weapons with the Baroness look stupid but they probably won't look stupid to the younger audience who toys are meant for. All I'm saying is accessories don't make the figures pieces of junk.....at all. The figures are well sculpted and crafted. We should appreciate the fact the line hasn't been cancelled and that we're still getting Joes in 2009! I'm more than thankful that GI Joe hasn't fallen and Hasbro's bringing it back to a new generation.

I think I'm going to have to replace the M, E, H keys on my keyboard before the summer is out cause all these ROC figures and vehicles so far just make me go "meh". Can't believe I'm this apathetic about Joes, but I am. Hopefully Toy Fair will show me a least a few items I think are worth buying.

I think the comments on this thread are referring mainly to the images of the 2 figures shown and those figures are just plain bad. Of course I will save some judgment for the trailer and hope it's good but in the meantime I am gonna judge what Ive seen, isn't that the point of a forum? |
