well after having read the Offical Hasbro rebuttal of "don't believe everything you hear" I need to agree that its more than likely some one trying to sow the seeds of doubt in the collecting community. I for one believe the 411 report the information Rebelscum/Cool Toy Review provides usually turns out to be reliable.
not to mention the reports weren't extremely specific with a list of character names like those that usually show up for Star Wars |

Assortments and lineups may change, but CTR/RS tends to be highly accurate with regards to this stuff. If anything their lists give us an idea of how a line may turn up.

If everything mentioned in the original "report" was accurate and confirmed, Hasbro wouldn't have bothered to acknowledge it.

Semantics is a delicate 'dance' sometimes, and I was just getting caught up in the presence of a double-negative in that sentence. Sorry, confused me. Thanks for clarifying! |

What I am saying (and there will be two negatives in this one!) is that Hasbro would have ignored the rumor list if there wasn't something on it that is either 1) still up in the air (due to internal approval, corporate retailer support, or whatever) or 2) is not going to happen period. They're not going to issue a statement warning fans and collectors about getting their hopes up over a completely credible list of rumors. In short, something on the list (maybe not even from the G.I. Joe section, though) is either pending retail commitment or total bullshit. |
