I have not seen this discussed anywhere on the WWW yet so I thought I'd add some photos of a packaging variation I found in the Cobra Para Viper.
As you can see while the front of the package is the same for both versions there are two different card backs: #1 Date Stamped: 82601 has 18 figures shown on the back and 2 gray images. I have 3 of this version. #2 Date Stamped: 82801 has 20 figures shown on the back. I have 1 of this version. I have included images for your viewing pleasure. Has anyone else seen any of these in the wild? Does this variation extend to other figures (especially wave 10 characters)? Apparently V1 will become extinct as it is replaced by V2 in the coming shippments.

I'll bet ya that the 20 lineup represents the cardbacks that we'll be getting in the upcoming army builder cases. The last 7 figures on it are army builders.
either way...cool find man |

I wouldn't call that a "variant".....early Star Wars figures back in the 80's had different quantites of faces on the cardbacks, wouldn't call that a "variant", more of different realease dates.

There are also different cast numbers on the goggles. I have a Para-Viper with a one in the goggles and one with a two.
