Is it an error or another varient?
Who knows. But sure enough, while doing my daily run to Wal-Mart, I found "Mama's-Boy Shipwreck" with NO tattoos: (Not a repack either, got it straight from the case) |

YoJoe: Wave 3 of the single packs seemed to have come with an inordinate number of variants and "running changes"...can we expect this many different versions of these figures going forward, or will they be kept to a minimum in the future?
Hasbro: This will be kept down in the future. The Shipwreck was a planned variant while the Stalker was a change we made to the figure after seeing the first sample to have it better match the 80's. i wonder what they mean then by "kept down" |

They probably mean not as many running changes and variants
As for this Shippy, it's probably a paint error. However, if we start seeing tatooless Shippys all over the place I'll eat my words |

So... not saying this is the case... but a number of figures are assembled with parts twisted wrong. The worst case I've seen are both the upper and lower arms being turned backwards. It's hard to tell in that photo, but I think the forearm is turned with the tattoo away from you.
Edit: Yeah that's your problem, it even exposes the casting marks: Yours Mine You can see the contours where the muscles are in the wrong place as well. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 12-07-2007 at 02:56 PM.. |

I remember when I got the original five sets. I must've corrected half the figures in those sets.

That's it, now he'll curse both of us when he opens it up to find that yes, it was on backwards, but no, there was no paint on the other side either.
