They introduce new characters: Someone complains.
They rework existing characters: Someone complains. They release basically the same version of a character several times in a row: Someone complains. They loose the rights to a name because they didn't release the character often enough: Someone complains. Seriously, the haters here are just looking for excuses to bitch and whine about anything. These are some awesomely detailed figures that give a very good representation of that the Vipers and IGs might have evolved from (like the Stormtroopers did from the clonetroopers, and they from Jango Fett). Even if they're prototypes, they look like some of the most detailed 1/18 scale figs I've ever seen. Anyone who says they look like utter crap (or compares them to the Corps, WTF?) is just making themselves look completely narrow-minded. Do people even read the thread before posting anymore? |

Maybe we think the ones who do like them have been brainwashed by Hasbro to take it up the A$$ (Yes I put money symbols there because thats how they see us)......We have the right to NOT like it as you have the right to like them.......whats the big deal.....I hate them and its not because I think the movie is going to suck.... We arent sitting here saying Everyone who likes them sucks Donkey legs......so please leave your comments about us who dont like them out of here. Oh and to the ones saying these are perfect for how the Vipers looked before they looked like Vipers....Ummm this has nothing to do with the Joes from My Childhood....so no this isnt pre Vipers that are going to turn into the Vipers I know........ i just don't understand that opinion ~ aside from the bright red they look more "Joe" then a large portion of the 2nd half of the original line, and as "Joe" as anything from the "new sculpt era"
they basically look like blueshirts filtered through Iron Grenadiers and updated a bit to look more real-world-esque. I mean, don't get me wrong, i'm not terribly excited about them, but saying "they ain't joes" just doesn't compute... thesse are from the live action movie, not Resolute ;-) |

I don't care for them and don't plan on buying them. But if any of the movie figures have a part that is good for a custom then I will buy one (same with the Resolute figures). But I can see how people could totally dig these new figures. They're just not for me.
And it's pointless to bash somebody whether they love these new figures or they absolutely hate them because it's a personal opinion and all subjective. Not everybody feels exactly the same about anything. No amount of name calling or putting me down will change my mind about something I believe in. I respect other peoples likes and dislikes when it comes to Joe toys. Can't we all try and do the same?

As a non-completist, as with any action figure product on the market today, I will purchase those Rise of Cobra items which appeal to me and leave the rest. After all, I'm just going to assume that there will be plenty of Joe product to choose from in 2009- 25th Anniversary figures and vehicles, Resolute figures and maybe vehicles and movie stuff- that I won't have to limit my purchases to movie merchandise only. Thank God for that too, because these figures aren't exactly blowing my hair back.

I just don't get it, if someone doesn't like a certain figure there labeled as haters. These figs are a pass for me, but there will probably be some movie line stuff I do like and will buy. And if these are geared towards attracting a younger fan base than I sincerly hopes it does! But like others are saying
no one insults those that do like these figures. It is a forum and others opinions whether they agree or disagree, like or dislike should be respected. |

HEY ZEFRAM, look dude you are a fellow artist and Deviant member and I like you but I have to say that sometimes when people make a general statement about something you seem to get offended and you start calling people names! Do you have a personal interest in Hasbro? Stocks maybe? LOL I am just playing dude, but seriously some people freak out when you start labeling them things like " Haters" and such. Peace!
