I've preordered stuff before that wound up being delayed for months and they didn't cancel my order. Would've been a lot easier to send out a note saying "Dear Customer, your order for blah blah blah has been pushed back to this date." Then let us decide whether we want to cancel our order or wait it out.
I'm just sayin' |

As long as someone has some information we can somewhat go on besides our order cancellations, I can deal with it. It does seem rather dumb by Hasbro to make new molds of things and then not make them when it can become really profitable. I can smell conspiracy, and there is a lingering hint, but it's not strong enough for me to start pointing fingers yet.

I'm just sayin' | Because the order won't be the same. The case preorder had to be canceled. They don't know when/how they will release it. Maybe the HISS comes out in one wave, Stinger in another.
So they had to cancel the preorders because they don't exist anymore.

If Hasbro Execs decided its is no longer in thier "vision" to create these wether or not they made molds does not matter. They could have warehouses of stuff and theyll just sel it off to scrap plastic companies for recycling and meltdown. It happens in every industry. If they see it not generating the profits (and we can see its not with how much stuff on pegs there is) and then the retailers stop ordering more since they can't sell enough of what they have cept to the few hundred of us here and the handful that don't post the chances they can pull the plug are just as great as if they don't.
Either scneario is plausible and given they cancelled the pre-order all together instead of giving us an option to pre-order a different setup lends credence to the end of the world for us who really wanted these figures and not a resolute remake or movie verison. :(
So when it segways into that crap, yeah the line is dead for the hardcore orignal design/look/feel figures/vehicles |

The reason I ask is I am a District Manager for a Merchandising/Marketing company that will go un-named, LOL. Anyway, one of my reps who is a part timer is also a part timer for Hasbro. She knows I collect Joes and I ask her all the time about any information.....she has known. She said all she ever knows is when she is given a project to do in the stores.
I also know the full time rep here in Houston from my days as a full time Xbox rep. I knew more about the Joes (releases, exclusives, etc.) then he did and he's worked for a Hasbro for 22 years. He has said I should work for Hasbro and I have told him only if there is a District Manager job no way I go back to being a field rep. Although he did have more info than the part time rep he didn't have much more.
Hopefully your contact is correct but I work with my rep tomorrow who also works for Hasbro and I'll see what I can get from her. If I find out anything I'll let y'all know.

>>>>>>>>>
He is not complaining about the overall construction or retooling of the vehicles ,what he is saying that the imagination behind the new designs of figures and vehicles that everyone is "raving" about is lacking and boring take the "Mask" hybrid Gi Joe figure Matt Striker " for example gimme a break ....this is what Hasbro is giving us now .please ..their new figures are inferior to the original ones in many ways ,paint applications ,weapons ,sculpting etc ..at least most of the original Joe figs had all new sculpts and didn't have the "Frankenstien" body construction that the new ones have where every figure has a part that is another one ,i understand people like the new stuff because they are reliving their childhood in some way ,but don't just settle for garbage either ,the new stuff is garbage .
You can't duplicate a good toy line from the 80's ,look how the He Man line bombed after two years ? |

you figure $5 for each figure ($8 - most accesories) and $5 for each vehicle (the absolute minimum they'd cost sold carded solo, and more likely it'd be $10 for like the RAM and FANG) and i think you are getting a heck of a deal.
