Hasbro probably decided topush back the vehicles because the economy is in the toilet right now.
Hasbro is slimming down their lines making two waves out of what would normally be one.
When this happens the case orders are cancelled because the assortment is no longer available.
They will come out but not as soon as we would like...
The vehicles do tend to peg warm ("metal shelf warm"?) in my area. . .and nothing even remotely popular peg warms around here. I sure wanted to give my Stinger Driver something to do, though.
Well, we won't know what's up until Hasbro says something. However, I see the vehicles doing nothing but taking up space; my local TRU has had some of the same (dents in boxes identify them) of the wave 1 vehicles since I moved here in August. Maybe the vehicles aren't moving well enough?
I think i got my order in the second day it was up. I was at work the first day...
but you say it said backorder from the day you ordered it? that's weird.... i'm tempted to place another order just to see what it says, the product page still says preorder, though the stinger just sold out LOL!
