These are definitely alot better. I mean from the first wave, Flint was the coolest then Bazooka. Didn't care much for the Cobra Trooper or Dusty(manboobs) for that matter. I think these will make a great addition to the collection. |

How is it that PTE/Mc toys can offer a super articulated figure with a complete set of cloths and accessories for less than $15! And hasbro cannot? Hasbro has a SA body but they don't use it across toy lines. No SA joe. No SA indy. No Sa star wars. They have a back catalog of clothes they could recycle for joes. I used a 90's HOF sweater to outfit the cobra trooper's hideous molded sweater.
Even hasbro's clothing cannot compare to PTE clothes. I recently bought a PTE figure with jeans. This pair of jeans could stand up to a REAL pair of jeans. Belt loops, snap buttons, real pockets, even that useless pocket for coins! Joe and Indy needs a new fashion designer. |

| That is the exact same issue I have too!
When I first saw the 12" figure pics from Joecon or SDCC, I was disappointed. I saw them in stores months later, and they slowly grew on me. I liked the semi-realistic approach that was being taken, but at the same time didn't like some aspects of the execution. What I think should be added, are cloth shirts. The addition of cloth shirts would make a lot of these figures look a ton better. I've seen the Cobra Trooper outfitted with PTE shirts and vests, and just those two additions make a world of difference. Imagine if Storm Shadow came with a gi top with a hood with the same pattern as his pants. Night and day.
These figures should have more clothing, accessories and the super articulated body at least used as the base, the older figure body should be retired. Nearly every other company is using super articulated 12" bodies, I still wonder why Hasbro is holding back. Cloth shirts hide the proportions of the upper body(which stick out like a sore thumb on most of the figures, on Duke it isn't as bad).
Case in point, look at the EEL and Grunt. Grunt looks incomplete, the EEL does not look as good as previous releases. I hope the Crimson Guard turns out awesome, but if it lacks a cloth shirt like all of the other releases in this line, it will most likely look bad. I wish the same amount of attention given to the modern era line was given to the 12" line. Give me the super articulated body, cloth shirts, more accessories, and I will GLADLY pay $19.99 for these.

I do have to disagree on one point though: Quote:

Not nearly as good as the SA bodies, but at least their arms don't look like sausages and they've got the whole articulated hand thing going for them. |
