Scarlett does look plump in this...maybe she's preggo with Snake Eyes' baby, or Duke's, or Mainframe's.
I really need to get caught up on this series. I have the issues at home, I just need to sit down and read them! Also, I love the Trouble Bubble.

Yes she does look rather big. Aside from that, the art looks great.

Taste is very subjective. The IDW stuff is great in my opinion and I've enjoyed it all so far.

IDW is really bad at staying consistent. Every other issue all the characters look completely different or you can't tell them apart from each other. Scarlett was a sexy bombshell just not even 2 issues ago with form fitting fatigues. I mean there's no way somebody can gain 60 pounds in a month. I mean you'd have to really try, and this probably just takes place a week later in continuity.
Some issues are very good and show excellent growth for characters. IE Baroness, Major Bludd, Tomax, and Serpentor, but when they do stuff like this and have Helix in three places at once I just get completely taken out of the experience. They need different writers and artists. There are 10 different action figures of ways to draw scarlett and THAT is how they choose to draw her? Clearly Hasbro is giving them free reign on what to do and they aren't doing that good of a job. |

Idiots. She isn't fat. She's wearing loose clothing, which would be more appropriate for where she is, the importance of her command, etc.
She's surrounded by alpha male types and not only does she have to maintain a certain level of respect, she has to appear as one of them. Sexy exposed midriffs would never work. So what if on their down time she dresses more gender neutral. This is the only realistic interpretation that IDW should use as it both illustrates the military theme and her character in this series. Bombshell be damned, this is how Scarlet would look between missions |
