No it is geared towards kids. I saw kids buy VVV, Spytroops, Sigma 6 et al. Not to mention, as shown in the front page post, this is geared towards kids in preparation for next year's movie. The characters included are the same ones a kid would recognize. Movie year=higher brand recognition.
I think we would have seen
far more complaints had these guys been on single card, in separate waves, taking up precious space that could be used by characters such as Lowlight, Lifeline, Alley Viper, Night Viper, etc. If that happened, everyone would complain about having to see Cobra Commander, Storm Shadow, Duke, or Snake Eyes
yet again in a wave. With this set it makes it easier to avoid these characters if you are tired of them, and hey none of them take up spots in the single pack line. This is a win/win situation for kids and collectors alike. Kids don't know who alley vipers or night creepers are, but we do, and we want them(and hey look Alley Viper is in a single pack wave instead of one of the 4 in the greatest battles pack). Kids
do know who Cobra Commander, Duke, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow are, and they would want them over characters we would want in the single pack waves. For a guy like me that liked the "new sculpt" line and designs, this battle pack is worth buying.
