oh, Lord! I'm going to be all over those IG/Viper 2-packs like 'Noks on Chocolate Donuts!
The GH/CC and Deep 6/R&R two packs are crap-tastic, though. Last edited by quintonarledge; 10-02-2008 at 11:30 AM.. |

Yeah, I'm gonna buy about 6 of the IG/Viper army builder pack.
I know there's a lot of hate for the other two packs, but I'm actually pretty pleased with them. I never got the original CC armor release, and, as a comic fan, the Fred head is preferred anyway. I also dig the new color scheme on Gung Ho (beats the baby blue camo) and it seems that they even fixed his backwards upper arms. I also like the opportunity to get a bellows-pump Deep Six without having to rebuy the Sharc, as I already have the Target exclusive Night-whatever-it-was-called. The RnR with Flint arms can only be an improvement over the Duke arms. |

I like that Rock and Roll has fixed arms, but the over muscled look is kind of annoying. I'm really debating about picking any of these up. I might get a few of the Iron Grenadier packs but i really don't need any more vipers. Gung-Ho with a fixed crotch... i hate to say it, but i'm sold.

How boring. I was holding out hope they would fix the Viper's arms for this, but should have known better. The annoying part is that I would like to get that Rock and Roll to get rid of the Duke arm version, but I really have a hard time doing anything that will encourage Hasbro to put out another wave like this one.
All three have something going for them in that Gung Ho has a fixed crotch and there's a troop builder pack, and I keep thinking that if these were in other comic waves, meaning that if one of these packs was in with two other brand new ones I would probably pick it up as they're not terrible, just really REALLY lazy. But as a whole wave, I am half tempted to leave them sitting on the shelf because they won't ever learn until they take one in the wallet. |

So first we're expected to buy an extra Destro to get our hands on an Iron Grenadier, and now we have to buy a Viper to get an Iron Grenadier?
Just release the figure on a single card already. |
