CODE NAME: CAMO LONG RANGE
Specialty: Sigma 6 MARKSMAN
HISTORY
LONG RANGE has perfected his exceptional marksmanship ability through practice in every type of terrain, weather, and location. COBRA forces have tried hiding their bases in dense wilderness, urban labyrinths, and sparse deserts, but LONG RANGE has successfully found and targeted each one without ever being detected. When in forests or jungles, his customized ghillie poncho conceals his presence so that he blends into the surrounding foliage. His weapon system can be customized to create a short-range blaster with a laser scope or a long-distance launcher.
Articulated marksman action figure is outfitted for pretend target acquisition missions and features a targetblaster and ghillie poncho equipment portfolio! Figure comes with targetblaster and ghille poncho.
EQUIPMENT AND WEAPONS
Sniper Missile Launcher
Binoculars
Ghille Pull-Over Poncho
Revolver
Scoped Pistol
Appearance: At first glance I wanted this figure right away. Camo Long Range looks really nice in the new style package with the cartoon background. You cant help but notice the BFG Missle Launcher along side the figure in the package. At first you might think its way to big even for a Sigma 6 figure untill you open the new silver carton Commando.
The one really nice option that most of the early Sigma 6 figures came with was cloth Pants and Gear. I really like that style and I am going to miss it. Camo Long Range does come with a nice Olive Green Ghille Pull-Over but now has new hand sculpted plastic pants. I think Hasbro did a great job with the over-all look of the sculpt but missed out on the CAMO effect. He is mostly solid Green with Black knee pads and boots. While this may work great for how the figure looks as a toy it would have been great to get a set of cloth Camo Pants for effect. I decided to go search out a set of cloth Camo Pants for this figure. The search was very easy and ended at the Dollar store of all places. So I busted out my Rescue Team Dollar Tree special and added them to my Camo Long Rage.
Weapons and Gimmicks: The Sniper Missile Launcher is a very fun gun to play around with. The weapon holds 4 missles that can be fired semi-automatic. When you pull the scope back the Chamber spins to fire a round. The missiles load easy and the Launcher works very well with out jamming. The Scoped Pistol attaches to the side of the Missile launcher and gives Camo Long Range a nice grip on the weapon from both sides setting up a nice shooting stance.
The Binoculars are something every sniper would carry and look nice. This Long Range figure would not be complete without his classic Revolver that I wish had a holster.
Overall: If you said pass to the past offerings of Long Range this is one you will not want to miss out on. The Main Weapon adds a lot of extra fun to the figure and the over all colors work really well. The name Forest Ops Long Rage would have been a more fitting name. But do not let the name get in the way of a great Sigma 6 Figure, for a buck you can add all the Camo you will ever need. Overall the Camo Long Range gets 8 out of 10 Stars. |
