Remakes of classic characters are fine, yes. That is, in fact, the basis of the 25th Anniversary line.
What isn't fine is when far more of the available figures are just repaints of already release figs than new, or repaints with slightly altered pieces. I understand having Hawk and Breaker have the SE body; that does reflect the aesthetic of the '82 figures. But to go a step further, unless there are as-yet unannounced 2-pack waves, Hasbro is going to force fans to buy doubles of at least one pack in order to get the mail-away Doc figure. I think we are entirely justified in calling that "lame" or even "sucky" or perhaps even saying, "hey, maybe Hasbro is most interested in selling as much as it can while spending as little money on new molds and tooling as possible." That's clearly what Hasbro is doing and obviously, Hasbro is a for-profit corporation and that's what they SHOULD do. Still, it doesn't mean we can't bit** and kvetch about having to buy doubles to get a mail-away exlusive.

LOL well their doing it now, and you have to break bread. spend some money, i agree with another member who wrote a reply oh sh$t i got to spend more money again. yep . i agree. i hate spending so much money on this stuff. but you know what i've been waiting and dreaming for a remake of this stuff so , break bread.
i'm also WAY not excited for the overly comic-colored ones to peg warm ala the messy blue stormtroopers in the Star Wars line. I suspect Duke and CC will be the chief offender there...

Are they going to be out in time/tied to the Doc promotion? By the available evidence we'll have to double-up at least 1 comic pack.

I really want to pull the plug on this habit. I think it is reaching unhealthy levels.
I remember July, when I said the two five packs were enough for me. Don't need the wave 1 singles. Dear god look at me now. |

Definately Snake-Eyes whole torso Probably a new head (I wish the beard was more than just a 5 o' clock shadow though)

That destro vac head is awesome. Has to be the same head as the Silver PDD, right?
I'm only digging on 3 of the comic packs...same as everyone else I imagine. |

Well, I'd like to believe that one day I'll have a monkey and/or robot butler that chases away solicitors at knifepoint and knows how to mix a perfect martini...but until I actually HAVE said butler, I'm not gonna plan on it.
In other words...4 waves by August would be nice, but color me skeptical.
