I know it is cliche, but how can Hasbro not be able to make a 12" figure look that great?

Most of the new Hasbro 12 inch figs look pretty cheesy.

Kinda cool and a little creepy (which is what seeing Destro in real-life might be like) It looks a lot like a street performer I saw in Vegas that was painted silver and made robot noises....
