Do you get frustrated by calls and letters from 30+ yr old "fans" that do nothing but whine and complain about you destroying their lost childhoods, "fans" that don't appreciate the awesome Joe line you've managed to produce, "fans" that think if it isn't done the same way as the original line then it's garbage, and fans that think if you create a Joe toy based off the upcoming G.I.joe movie you have completly and utterly destroyed everything that makes G.I.Joe good??? In short, is it difficult finding balance between trying to draw in new fans of the franchise while still making OLDER fans happy?

A BIG reason Transformers sees the kind of support it is now is because of the success of the movie, Universe/Classics exists almost entirely to offer the "realistic" alternate mode characters in contrast to the stylized animated figures. Ruined FOREVER - Transformers Wiki See THAT article at how fans were largely negative about Armada and the recent live action movie, two success that pretty much paved the way for the fan goodness out now.

My only question, and I'm not sure if it was asked by another site in a previous Q&A, but....
Any plans to release more Tiger Force or Python Patrol figures? We already have Modern Era molds of Bazooka, Dusty, Roadblock, Tripwire, Ace, Tele-Viper, Trooper and Viper. Any chance we may see them repainted in TF or PP colors?

1. I have been impressed with some first time appearance figures in this line. Who ever thought that we'd see a Baroness diver or a radioactive Snake Eyes, blue Baroness, and the like? Will we see any other first time appearance figures from the cartoon series like Cadet Demming, Cobra Commander as a half snake from the G.I. Joe movie, Pythona, Sparks, Barbeque with a removable helmet, Cobra disguise Mutt, Snakelings (from The Revenge of Cobra), or any other ones?
2. How about a comic three pack that represents the 3 pack of Slaughter's Renegades or the Cobra La 3 pack from back in 1987? 3. Some figures may have a mask, but would be improved if we could see their faces as well. Some figures like Beachhead or Storm Shadow may not look right with a removable mask. Would it be possible for future figures to come with a second head (one with a mask one with out) so the heads could be interchanged? Another figure that this would work great for would be a Jinx. 4. By now it is obvious that Covergirl, Zarana, Zandar, Jinx, and a host of other highly requested figures will not likely be made. Would Hasbro be open to listing some characters for vote on which should be made on their website, or through other sites? This used to be a practice of Hasbro when the 25th line first came out, and it looks as if the feedback was used. 5. Comic Con figures limited to 5,000 sell at the convention for $10 each, which makes a total take on each figure $50,000. Any way this could be done on a slightly larger scale on hasbrotoyshop for some highly requested figures that may not make it into the line before it ends? |

Many of the larger items people have been requesting such as a new Terrordrome are met with "No plans at this time, we'll see what happens when the movie comes out." But even if the movie does very well, it will be over a year before such an item could see release considering production times and whatnot as has been said in previous Q + A's. In a year's time hype fades no matter who you are, so wouldn't it have made more sense to try and have something of this nature available when the movie comes out to capitalize on publicity?
It seems like waiting to see how the movie does takes away from the best opportunity to release such items, so is that basically a way of keeping hope alive when the answer is already no? Not trying to be negative, just seems like a hole in logic. |

Will Hasbro release a weapons accessory pack like the olden days? How about more diorama stuff like the Forward Observer, Ammo Dump, Bivouac and the Outpost Defender?

These are our 5 questions.
Within the last couple of months several Comic Con Exclusive Gold Destro's have surfaced on the secondary market with the date code stamp "81921". Can these figures be considered legit? If not can you shed some light on this situation? Are we going to see the likes of Recondo and Dr. Mindbender? Can you give us one surprise that fans may not have expected? Are the resolute figures going to consist of new molds or are they going to be mainly repaints of the existing figures. Examples are Duke, SS, CC and SE. Is there anything else you can tell us about resolute? Perhaps there's a promotional website for the series on it's way? We already know the figures up to Wave 13 Can you list the the final waves and the figures included. How many waves are left until the change over to Movie Toys. 1x Snake Eyes (Black) 1x Cobra Flint 1x Cobra Commander Resolute 1x Cobra Trooper Resolute 1x Blowtorch 1x Dreadnok Torch 1x Firefly 1x Duke Resolute or 1x Cobra Commander Resolute 2x Cobra Trooper Resolute 1x Blowtorch 1x Duke Resolute 1x Python Patrol Crimson Guard 1x Dreadnok Torch 1x Firefly
