Q: Given that this is billed as a "collector's line" have you considered a successful method to closing the loop on product development that includes collectors feedback BEFORE figures are release that would ultimately ensure far less unwanted figures from sitting on the pegs? This could be as simple as presenting us with a selection of prototype photos on a website and allowing the collectors to vote in advance. If the response is great enough, which I'm sure it would be, you should be able to develop home run waves every time that would fly out of retail. This would also give you the additional benefit of creating meaningful and desired repaints that won't sell poorly. Thanks for listening!

2)Cool Toy Review: Is there any HOPE of Hasbro doing an original style ZARTAN, ZARANA & ZANDAR with their tradmark outfits and color change abilities??? like Zartan with his swamp Skier???? Hasbro: We just revealed Zartan at Comic-Con, with the Skier. No plans for his siblings. So can we scratch the Zarana and Skystriker questions...as these have been answered before like 2 months ago.......... |

1. The figures are selling fine from all that I can tell, even the "unwanted figures", furthermore, a good many of those "unwanted figures" either fill a specific market niche or would STILL have their fans. I mean come on, you have multiple people asking for DEF and Ninja Force figures here and on other boards. "One man's trash is another man's treasure" 2. Product turn around time is VERY long. The product we are getting now was drawn up over a year ago. Hasbro has said numerous times to various collector groups that it takes roughly ONE YEAR to go from concept to a mass retail release, AT MINIMUM. You add in the self-conflicting fans to the mix, and new product is basically unmakable. Why do you think it took over a YEAR for the Collector's Club to get wave 4 DTC out? Because they were tweaking the figures to fan specifications.

4. What's the licensing situation for Cover Girl? Originally she couldn't have a figure because of her codename, and now she's a character in the movie. Will we be seeing a GI Joe figure of her now?
Answer: We are still flushing out the movie line and don't have an answer for this right now. Give us a few months and we can give you a Cover Girl update. |

We know the STUN and Cobra Hydrofoil molds were still around as of 2006. Unless they've been destroyed since then, is there any chance we'll see a release of these two vehicles in their classic color schemes for the current line?

Stinger Question has been answered.....
The "Cobra VAMP" as it was referred to in a press release is in fact the Stinger and will be seen in 2009. And for the end of the line questions.... Hasbro: The movie line will feature a blend of movie and classic characters and is being led by the same team which brought you 25th anniversary. This line will delight both collectors and kids! Here's a few of the most frequently asked after figures...any chance we will see them in the 25th ANniversary line? Wet Suit, Thrasher, Zarana, Blowtorch, Mutt & Junkyard? Hasbro: Two out of five isn't bad. So no Wetsuit.......Thrasher or Zarana....... 1) Will we be seeing a DDP version of Joe Colton in the 25th line of figures? There are currently no plans for Joe Colton to appear in the 25th. What are the chances of seeing larger playsets(TerrorDrome, Flagg, etc.) or vehicles (including fighter planes) being released for this line or the movie line? There will not be any playsets in the anniversary line. For the movie,we will try and put out a line that does justice to the 80's as well as deliver an awesome play experience for kids. So we have answers ALREADY about Covergirl, Zarana, Skystriker, Terror Drone, Stinger Vehicle, FLAGG, SRT Slaughter, Case Ratios, The line ending......so can we ask some real questions please? Go here and see if your question has been answered.... http://www.generalsjoes.com/qanda.html Last edited by spacemonkeymafia; 09-25-2008 at 10:31 AM.. |
