The heroic Commando Ninja returns! Snake-Eyes is the epitome of being a loyal soldier, friend, and brother. He understands his job completes every dangerous task given to him by his superiors. Pain, loss, and grief has shaped his life. However, instead of fallen into his emotions he uses them to sharpen his skill, knowledge, and ability to confuse, cohort, and disenfranchise the vile terrorist organization that is COBRA.
Our Question to you - What actor should play this classic Heroic Commando Ninja we all grew up on during the 1980s for the G.I. Joe Live Action Movie 2009?

Pre-accident? Post? Both? Is he going to speak?
Pre-accident I would say Brad Pitt, cuz even though I like women, even I think he's damn good looking. He's got that SE look, but I can not get past the idea of SE talking. He's always been silent to me, even before his vocal chords got toasted. And I doubt Brad Pitt would do a movie and not speak.
Post-accident... pretty much any martial arts actor or stunt man could do it because they'd be masked. Maybe Ray Parks.

The Star actor to play Snake Eyes should be.
No one.
Snake eyes is a man in silence. Snake eyes is a man behind a mask. The parts of the storys where Snake eyes removes his mask for Scarlett, leave me with a feeling of "who's that?". Then the surroundings and clothing and supporting story inform me that it's him.
Heres the plan. Write a story rich enough to make you care about and feel enough attachment to him without needing some shallow "star" attachment. Leave that for Storm Shadow. (Tony Ja btw for SS)
Make the cast member who plays Snake eyes an expert martail Artist, and built like a Commando but there is no need other then to show a little skin under his mask if it gets torn or he wants to show his mouth.
Make the writers make us care about this person with his Story. You don't always need a major actor. Snake Eyes is a Masked Man, and thats how it needs to stay.

Things he has done...
The guy that did Silver Surfer, Kronen and Abe Sapien from Hellboy, The Fawn and Demon in Pan's Labrynth.
Here's why!
They can get any martial artist to do his stunt scenes! But to carry the stature and creepy appeal of a ninja with mental problems who wears a mask all the time. A person so deadly and silent he can kill you without you ever hearing him. Yet he fights for good. I want to be crepped the hell out by Snake Eyes.

And as a PR stunt, hire a bunch of extras in the same role with un-named credits or something. Do a "who is Snake Eyes" ad campaign or something!
This gets my vote as best idea ever, period.
