I'm not feeling Ray Park
Jason Stratham has the look, but he'll want a speaking part. |

I frequent the tank a lot and saw this topic and knew that I had to make my first post on the forums.
There is only ONE other timeless, non-speaking, cold-blooded assassin that can be likened in a way to Snake-Eyes. As such the ONLY person that can play Snake-Eyes in the movie is Jeremy Bulloch! Sure it would take a lot of make-up and some physical therapy and excercise but come on! He's perfect! |

it doesn't matter because we should only see his face (obscured under sunglasses) in flashbacks!
Find a physical martial arts stunt guy to wear a suit! That's it......no brad pitt, no ray park, no jason statham, no doug jones. They are all completely un-necessary |

My vote also goes to a nobody.
Well, not a nobody exactly. I want an INCREDIBLE martial artist. I realize that Mortal Kombat is a dirty word to those who've been following the Joe Movie production since the late 80's. (The property's been floating around Hollywood since like, '85 I think.) However Mortal Kombat got a few things right. Specifially, Sub-Zero. He was just a super martial artist and THAT'S what defines Snake-Eyes visually. From the thread "Omegawrath casts the Joe movie": For Snake Eyes, I say don't show the man's face except in flashbacks. With this approach, you would not need a name actor- just someone who knows how to be expressive with gestures and someone who's a SUPER-MEGA-GIGA-TOP martial artist. E: I've always seen Snake-Eyes as the type of guy who could go toe to toe with Batman.

I love it when a fandom is in general agreement. I spent almost 3 years on Don Murphy's message board discussing the Transformers movie and there were SOOOOOO many headaches, even to this day.
