When i think of Joseph Gordon-Levitt... "Menacing" isn't the word that comes to mind. I'm trying to reserve judgment though.

That is funny. It's also funny that the article states he was stopping short of making comparisons when it's clear he was pointing out a difference.

Actually, I was worried about the hood being mistaken for something racist myself. Not that I'd buy it in a million years, but this is the same world that attempted to label George Lucas a racist against latinos for revealing that Jango/Boba Fett and the Clone/Stormtroopers were Maori under those masks in Attack of the Clones.

Great find on that article.

The hood on a comic/cartoon character is ok.
I could see how it might look a little grand wizardish on a real person.
