We all agree that we would like a
Lowlight Recondo Covergirl Tunnel Rat Jinx Shockwave blow torch mindbender wetsuit outback single carded copperhead, scrap iron, dusty, alpine, quick kick And other peoples favourites as well.... but really I doubt we are going to see any of these before the movie line, with the exception of blowtorch. Yes for some of them hasbro could frankenstein and repaint, but as many people have said, if all the core characters are done, what will be left to buy. They have to leave out a few to keep people interested. With that said, I am willing to wait and leave out characters I do not want as hasbro has made over 200+ and I am definitely not interested in a million CC's, destros, SS's and now even the troopers are getting a bit redundant. You don't even need to army build them as hasbro has probably released around 10+ different trooper variations. Maybe being a completist is exactly what hasbro is banking on for the collector numbers.... With that said, I loved every wave from 1-11 with half of 8 included, so I will chalk this up as a waste and hope they blow us away with the last 2 waves, but I am not holding my breath. Duke Omega Force UPC = 0065356937101 Cobra Commander Omega Force UPC = 0065356937102 Cobra TRPR Omega Force UPC = 0065356937103 Dreadnok Torch UPC = 0065356937423 Single Firefly UPC = 0065356937424 Single Blowtorch UPC = 0065356937104 Single Serpent UPC = 0065356932499 Besides we know 7 of the twelve which leaves 5 spots. So unless they have 5 original characters that is that for this line until after the movie.... |

I've bought one of each figure regularly released (excluding Piper and PDDestro) and will get 1 of each for MOSC... But this will hands down be my least favorite wave yet...
I even skipped Wave 4 except for the air trooper, but am planning on getting them eventually. Even being direct recards, at least they were core character choices, and better than wave 12, in my eyes. Tripwire and the Cobra diver, meh, already have them, at least the Cobra diver is at least a "new character" despite being just a repaint, but the extra little Mass Device containers are a neat enough addition, and they're at least single-carded for the first time. I don't want any more Storm Shadows, EVER. That Ripper looks worse than the comic pack, which is about the inverse of the usual case. I hope they adjusted the contrast on these images at tad much, because those blue jeans almost glow. The Trooper, I don't like, due to the new vibrant blue (at least he matches the Bazooka trooper?) that Hasbro has decided to re-deem as the Cobra uniform blue... Unless all the pics we've seen have terrible color correction, then it'll be cooler... I still hate red face masks, they're just weird. And as much as I love the CGs, and tolerated the Python Patrol Officer, the CG is a terrible repaint, even though it's true to the original figure. I never liked Python Patrol from a design perspective, even as a kid, and it's even worse now. My girlfriend joked after looking over at my screen that "That guy should be on 'What Not to Wear'!"* I'm hoping the lighting's just off overall in all the photography we've seen lately, as I like the idea behind the Wave 10 Bazooka trooper, but the more vibrant blue does sorta mess with me. A "uniform" army shouldn't be THAT different, even with different rankings and specialization. I think that each version of the trooper has enough web gear/helmet and accessory changes/additions that make them different enough, without having their UNIFORMS as the unifying element that does the opposite of what a "uniform" is supposed to do. *"What Not to Wear" is a terrible women's show on Bravo or something like that, where 2 women fix terribly dressed people Last edited by Mandingo Rex; 08-28-2008 at 12:55 PM.. |

Well then, if its the retailers deciding on who gets made...then they are bunch of idiots! as scarce as these figures are on the shelves...there is no way the kids are buying them up...if these were produced for the kids...then they would be all over like starwars figures

I really wish Resolute was it's own line, as well. I never liked VvV or Sigma 6, and "classic Joe" styled characters like the Bazooka Viper, and Para-Viper are cool to me... And to a degree, even though I'm not excited, I'm cool with Wraith, even since he was from the comic.
And while Resolute IS more in-line with what I think Joe should be, I don't think it should segue its way into the 25th line, or the tail-end of it, or whatever. Let it be it's own line, people will still buy it. I know that the 25th line has "evolved" into something else, but "Modern Era" or whatever you want to call it now, is STILL essentially 25th Anniversary G.I. Joe. It's a naming issue since it's no longer 2007 and the 25th anniversary, but everyone knows that it's the same line. Wrap it up and start a new line, don't blur edges and water down something that started out strong, please. |

A corporate buyer's/retailer's mentality is very different from the mentality of anyone of us here. |

I will be soooo pissed if that Blowtorch ends up being a Flash bodied figure. Of all the figures announced, but not out yet as of wave 9, Blowtorch is one I am most excited about.

When I first saw that pic it reminded me of the con set pics that were "leaked" back in April. Man I wish this was a joke too.

It just doesn't add up to me. Why would Hasbro say they're listening, if it doesn't matter what we have to say anyways?
