Meanwhile back in the Batcave. Batman is searching the batcomputer for a match to the prints of the boy who bought the wave 10 Cobra Bazooka trooper, after he lifted the prints from a few Ben 10 figures the boy was looking through. It's only a matter of time before he finds that kid and gets a pic for the Tank
On a serious note lets stop all the arguing about whether kids buy Joes or adults, whether Star Wars sucks or not and whether Santa Claus is real or make believe Lets only post in this thread if we find wave 10 or the mods should just go ahead and lock it, because when they are spotted again this thread will be 65 pages of b.s. to wade through. P.S. I'm guilty of some of the b.s. |

I really hope the GI Joe movie gets the kids excited and into buying a whole lot of GI Joe. The more money Hasbro makes off of this line, the more likely we are to see a good Rip Cord or Recondo (or anybody from the old ARAH days that you want remade) figure made in the future.

You know what I like? Those pepper jack cheese wedges you can get from O'Charley's. You get an order of them fresh with the cheese still melted... awesome.
Well, I think part of the reason the Joes are even getting a movie is from the success of Transformers and Hasbro being willing to take the risk. With any luck, this new movie line will sport articulation and style quite similar to the 25th line so that kids will easily associate one with the other. |

Otherwise, parents who know nothing about GI Joe will go to Wal-Mart and K-Mart and see military guys that cost a lot less and comes with weapons and other gear and buy those for their kids. As for the OP, nice to hear someone do that. I've been in situations like that back then when I was a hardcore toyhunter especially during the Marvel Legends - Toy Biz years and would score a lot of the stuff inc. variants and see buddies come in and give me puppy eyed looks because they knew I bought two. One to open and one to keep sealed. But you know, I shared with them and from that point on, it was beneficial for me because they did the same and we ended up starting a network of toyhunters and hooking each other up with stuff that we would purchase throughout the state of California. As for the figures and people seeing them early, hell...this happens several times a year with different lines and with GI Joe's, we always see weird distributions via waves that we have talked about on the forums this whole year. But typically when things are spotted earlier, you notice it on eBay and multiple toy threads. But nevertheless, if it's out...that's fine. I'm still trying to find myself some wave 8 and 9's without the f'd up, bent cards.

I agree, I have never ever seen a kid buy a G.I. Joe figure recently. Children understand what's in front of them. There is no cartoon, no film (yet) and no comic book, ...(yet) What makes people think children are buying joes? Hasbro's booth at comic con, guess what I saw? huh? A LINE FULL OF ADULTS. . . ALL OVER 20! Literally for two hours not one child on the line. Come on, if you see one kid in the off chance buy something G.I. Joe guess what, its not because they know what G.I. Joe is, it's because of the packaging. Transformers on the other hand, that movie brought them in a fortune in toys from kids, plus fanboys that buy anything that says Transformers and Hasbro on it.
I've seen parents buying their kids Gi Joe figures numerous times and I do not even go to the store that much. A few weeks ago i saw a father in his mid 30's maybe (prolly grew up on Gi Joe) talking to his kids and saying how he had Snowjob when he was a kid and WoW, I had that Crimson Guard guy too and buying a bunch for his kids. About the only thing that makes them cater to adults is the price. They were 2 frickin 99 in the 80's. Are any kids even at Comic Con at all?
