Just in case folks haven't seen it, Generals Joes Q & A page continues to be updated with Hasbro Q & A responses, including three recent additions from YoJoe, Figures.com, and Blood for the Baron.

Hasbro: For using existing tooling the design team has to come up with tooling that both fits the figure and is available (not in production). In the case of Falcon, the Duke arms were available. Your feedback has been heard and we will see what we can do about this in the future.

3. Have you given any thought to a "viral campaign" for the upcoming live action movie? The Dark Knight executed this perfectly and some would say that's a big part of the film's huge success. Paramount did this with Transformers last year; can we expect a repeat for the upcoming G.I. Joe film in 2009 as a way to get fans involved?
Hasbro: Paramount will be running the marketing campaign for the live action movie, so it's not really a question we can answer - but maybe it has already started and you have not found it online yet...

Well, I haven't seen many folks mention the fact that there were "MARS" T-shirts at SDCC, which I thought was pretty cool. It's a VERY small thing, but maybe that ties into what they're saying?
I suspect as '09 gets rolling we'll see more. Justin |

I really wanted one of those too! Kevin tried to pick one up for me but the lines were too long.

Bingo. The people who decide which figures will be in which waves and the design team need to get on the same page. Simply holding off Falcon for a wave until the Tiger Force Flint production run was over would have made everybody happy. There was no rush, after all. |

this is what I've been saying -- it is one of the most basic fundamentals of any sort of manufacturing. |
