Everybody seems really down on the 12" stuff (and I guess i am as well)....I still don't think Flint, Bazooka, Storm Shadow and Beachhead are all that bad. Yeah they could be better, but at least you know who they are. The other figures have me scratching my head....it's like, okay that's Dusty if you say it is. The potential is there.....can you imagine a 12" Zartan, Snow Job or Firefly? I'm thinking that might be kind of cool to have a few of these guys displayed in the back of my case with the other 25th stuff. I dunno.....I'm 50/50 on picking up at least one to see out of the box. Overall crap....but Beachhead is going to be awfully tempting.

Until I read it was Cobra Commander, I thought it was an attempt at a 12" Viper. Beachhead does look very cool though. The molded shirts are horrendous, and the way the hands operate really sucks. Whatever happened to old time Kung Fu grip? This is more like the butterfinger grip.

The naval hat is absurd, but maybe this is Yacht Cobra Commander, a variant never before made.

That CC is easily the most ridiculous 12 inch figure of all time. The assortment of weapons is absurd.

With the 3 3/4" line up to $8 this 12" line is looking like a smokin' deal at $15 a pop. I started with the two ninjas and was pretty impressed. Then got Bazooka who I really like too. SS has the Cobra emblem reliefed on his boot heel so when he steps in mud he can leave Cobra prints all over. I'm warming up to Flint and now seeing Duke makes me want Flint even more. Dusty looked alright. The CobraTrooper has a serious giraffe neck. I passed on both of those. As everyone has noted BeachHead looks like the one to get from the upcoming wave and I concur. If you can hold yourself to cherrypicking from the 12" offerings I think you'll be happy with this line. Hopefully we'll get a better CC down the road, along with well executed Destro and Zartan. I'm betting on those guys so I jumped in now so I don't have to scramble for the better early wave offerings later at sleazebay prices.
