This is basiclly where the price scanners are at.. or the weekly specials .. or overstocked items go that the store wishes to "advertise" certain departments have planogramed endcaps (like right now toys has it planogrammed for the Star wars clonewars figures) other departments / endcaps are what they call flex - meaning that the store personal (normally level 3/team lead/dept supervisor) deems what he/she wants on that endcap - wether it just be over stocked product - something in the ad for that week (you normally see these type of endcaps in the snack/food isle where the pepsi/coke go and in the seasonal/mini seasonal departments are) Now also realise that those mini candy displays at the registers are also considered endcaps because they use the space behind registers for displaying product - I would be safe to guess that 33 - 50% of all these "endcaps" are flex - the store puts whatever the hell they can think of that would force an impulse buy from the consumers or things that they really need to push from the ad that they over ordered! |

Before too many rumors about location are thrown out there. Let me say that I haven't seen anything claiming exactly where these NEW vehicles will be located (If anyone definately knows where, inform me and I will stand corrected)
As for the first Target exclusive vehicles, they were put on the check lanes as a promotion shared with Star Wars and Transformers toys. This was a limited thing. Here's the original article: Target Check Lane exclusive vehicles This doesn't mean that ALL GI Joe Target vehicle exclusives are gonna be on the check lanes. (In fact, I rarely see ANY toys on those lanes) More than likely, they'll either be on the bottom shelf under the Joe section, on a top shelf above the Joe section, or on an end cap in the Toy Aisle (Like where all the Clone Wars stuff is right now) |

this is what we call the overstock (on top of the shelves): now, this is what an endcap looks like: so they are at the end of the aisle. they serve their purpose in case there are new products that need to be on the floor but no time to re-arrange or reset the whole aisle. they also serve as dumping ground for clearance items. and they serve as whatever merchandise people leave within the store coz they change their minds like hundreds of times. and the checkout lanes:

I would put them on ebay by now so that I could buy 3 of each when they finally came out.

Well, now I know why I can't find any Elite Force stuff. Or register attendants for that matter.
