As popular as the Rattler and Conquest may be, at $25 a pop people won't be as inclined to buy em' at the same rate as the others at $10..... $10 a piece was an absolute steal and we all knew it, which was the predominant reason to why they sold out so quick. The same people were buying multiples of each, i don't see too much of that here. A couple of each at most, for most people. Another factor was that in which the time that they were released there wasn't a whole lot of "other" Joe product to compete with it. NOW.....it's a different story. Product is coming out at a much faster rate and there's even more on the horizon. People will be more cautious with their cash knowing that there are other things to buy as well as store, as storage is an issue in itself. |

I don't know about that. $25 a pop is still fairly inexpensive for what you get considering that all the other vehicles on the shelf (Star Wars, Indy and the rest) are priced the same (give or take and nowhere near as cool... and don't even come with a figure). Target's $9.99-$24.99 price point is really not that much higher then what the stuff was back in the 80's. I hope you're right......I hope I'm aggravated because I spent too much on the pre-order and not because I can't find them at retail. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that supply is reaching demand now and all our long pointless hunts for this stuff might be a thing of the past. I'm starting to see wave 9 with more frequency now....so who knows.
Your right $25 a piece for what your getting is fairly inexpensive, but i was eluding to something entirely different. The predominate reason and/or reasons to why you may of had trouble finding the other exclusives was because of the "reasons" that i listed. People will still buy these, don't get me wrong. They won't however "horde" them like they did with the others, again...reasons listed in previous post. Last edited by Sysiss; 08-18-2008 at 03:51 PM.. |
