I'm starting to get really angry. I missed the pre-orders. I went to Target today when it opened. Still none in stock and none at any other Target's in AZ. I heard that each Target is only going to get a couple of each in. I'm guessing this is because of the people that were greedy and pre-ordered 5 or more of each. The pre-orders should have been limited 2 Rattlers and 2 Conquests per person. I'm starting to doubt that I will ever get my hands on a Rattler and a Conquest.
I kind of agree with you about the pre-orders, to some extent. What I don't get is why hasbro didn't use that as a gauge as to how many to produce. I mean, if they "sold out" of preorders, wouldn't you think they'd sell 2-3 times that many in the stores? Also, I'm sure a lot of us put our email address in to be notified of online re-stocks. Couldn't Hasbro use that as a gauge for how many more people might be interested in these? Maybe they have, who knows?

Ah, don't sweat it just yet. I've now seen a second Rattler on ebay. I check the "Find it at Target" site several times a day for my area, the place I used to live, and the place my mom lives (all show stores within a fairly large area) and all of them have come up negative. I just don't think these are widely available yet. They'll get there.

I know their exclusives, but these are already selling like cheap crack. They could have made tons more and still easily sold out of them. These should have been mass produced and made available at all stores that sell Joe's. Hasbro would have made a killing in sales.

I only think the pre-orders should have been limited 2 Rattlers and 2 Conquests per person, only because of the limited amount that were produced. If they would have mass produced it, then I could care less about how many of each people pre-order.

While I have, Zen-like, resigned myself to the very real possibility that I will not secure even one, much less the three, Rattlers that I want at retail, I must confess this saga is unfolding to become the very definition of why I dislike store exclusives.
I remind myself if my principle gripe in life is that I cannot obtain painted pieces of plastic to adorn my shelves and collect dust, then I am truly blessed indeed. I'm also choosing to be optimistic and agree with those who have predicted the Rattler and Conquest will see a wide-market re-release soon just like the other three Target exclusive vehicles. Though a nagging little voice in my head says it will be a Python Patrol Conquest and a Tiger Force Rattler that make it to mass retail. Yahhh yahhh yuuuuuuuck... But anyway, cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war. Blood is in the water and the feeding frenzy is about to begin... |

I called around and used the Target site, nothing in most of Ohio except for one Conquest at the Canton Target. They were very nice by the way. Go get it if you need one.
