Recently I rented BATMAN GOTHAM KNIGHT DVD. Some of the animations were nice, but I wasn't overly impressed with the story line, all the individual cartoons were Japanese influenced art which is great but can't studios find influence elsewhere.
I grew up on ANIME. MAZINGER Z, SPEED RACER, ROBOTECH/MACROSS, KID NIKKI, and so forth...but now that I'm older i think I've gotten sick of it, especially after 2000 when everything seems like it's coming out of Japan's butt.
Don't get me wrong it looks cool, and as far as Roadblock goes he seems like a typical AFRICAN AMERICAN ANIME STYLE CHARACTER, that's how they're drawn in Japan. I just hope it's not lame like SIGMA SIX, I lose interest everytime i have to hear every characters thought process from beginning to end, not everybody can be SPEED RACER.
it could be worst, it could be GIJOE EXTREME. yucky! |
