It all depends, like the guy who played Kingpin in the Daredevil movie looked the role a lot more then the guy who played him in one of the old Incredible Hulk TV movies despite the former being black.

I don't think we'll see that exact same storyline in the movie, so don't worry there. Sometimes you can respect the source material while making tweaks and changes.

the only way we could be pleasantly surprised by marlon wayans is if he gets blown up before he says one word in this travesty. This is Sigma sux and literally, beyond character names and the name on the film, has no true ties to ANYTHING joe related, unless you count action force in the UK.

that would be a good point if infact the course material was even being represented here, but alas like i said earlier despite names of characters, there is no true link to what made GI JOE GI JOE.

Amen brother! Wayans being Ripcord and not Stalker,Snakes-Eyes being French(and good thing Hama got the idiot producer to have SE not talk),Smiling Skull face Vipers,Stupid powersuits and the G.I.Joe team being a jazzed up U.N. force make this movie not a TRUE Joe movie.

here here Phalsis, annd well said! The Fan Boys off the net have been ripping this film apart from day one. I was only pissed when they were talking about turning this film into a buddy movie like Tango and Cash, but with Duke and Action Man. But I have since calmed down when Hasbro had reassured me that it will be a film that fans and the new comers will love. AND I really got excited when I had heard Larry Hama was signed on as an adviser to the film. I wonder if they got the idea of making Ripcord African-American after seeing Jamie Foxx play a pilot in Stealth??? lol
