I like everything I see from this cartoon so far. My only gripe are Stalkers dreadlocks and Destro Robot arm.
The designs look sweet.Too bad the G.I.joe movie folks didn't hire these guys to design the movie costumes. F-Paramount |

Don't like how Destro looks all robotic. But everything else looks pretty badass!

for the most part, i am very satisfied with the design direction...there a few little things that i am not liking, but not too serious...
- i understand the vests Duke/FF are wearing, but i'm hoping that isn't part of their perminant attire - Destro = not cool...the arm is fine with me, but his outfit isn't right - is it me or do these guys look rather scrawny?...kinda like teenager boys before they develope into men... things that i like... - SS looks like a perfect adaptation of his 80's toon counterpart - i actually like Stalkers dreds...cliche, but cool looking...hope they don't make him steriotypically Jamacan to go with his new hair style though - they have kept the classic look of the characters we know and love (to quell the fans who are upset about the S6 movie look) - more realism...the vests are a very realistic update, assuming, like i said, they are not a 100% full time accessory...SE with pants is more realistic...i hope this is a way of them telling us that realism is more important to them for their adult audiance... BTW, how cool would it be if it was animated in the EXACT same style as our classic toon of yore?...but adult themed and NOT campy...or if they just continued it and called it "Season 3"...continued just for us, but with the PG-13 tone of the new toon... also, i am expecting this adult toon to go away after the 60 minutes are done, just like the Clone Wars toon from a few years back...this is just an attempt to bring back the older fans before the movie...if a new toon comes after the movie, i believe it will be all ghey new TF style animation for kids...so don't fall too much in love Last edited by G.I.Eddie; 07-26-2008 at 10:03 AM.. |

I was watching a show on the Military Channel called HALO: Freefall Warriors. During the graduation ceremony, they did a pan of the group in PT gear. A lot them were pretty lanky, and this was a room full of special operators. |

don't want to be mr. negative because some of these images art nice, BUT,
it looks like they just copied SIGMA SUX destro, why does he have to have that long skirt looking thing, also big "not cool" to the storm shadow pic, again looks exactly like SIGMA SIX and MOVIE STORM SHADOW, here is a thought why not give storm shadow a similar outfit to his original, he is possibly the most popular joe figure ever, i mean people don't muck up redoo's of the 1985 snake eyes with visor image, WHY? because it's frickin awesome not to mention iconic, i am sure i will love the new cartoon and some of the images are sweet like the firefly and snake eyes, and i do dig the stalker with dreads, i just hope they don't get to sigma sixy with the art direction. |

Actually they're not scrawny ,they're realisticly sized. We've grown up watching too many bodybuilders and wrestlers playing special ops guys.

This is Matt Hughes, the former Welterweight Champion of the world and long considered one of the strongest pound-for-pound fighters in the world. In this photo he's getting ready to go hog hunting, but it's a good example of how the military styled gear looks on an athletic physique: |

Actually that is not the case from reports that I have read. Hasbro said that this is a new direction in entertainment that they taking on a 5-year plan. And that they expect to have something like this done for Joe at least each year as a possibility as long as fans enjoy it & are at least planning another one for next year judging on fan-reaction so far. It is not dependent on sales, & that they are trying to reach an Adult audience with a new direction as long as fans are on board. If they do a Joe-toon for kids after the Movie, that would be seperate from this. "Resolute" is for us, & they are expecting to do more of them, as well as expanding their new adult themed animation into various Hasbro lines.
