Once these prices go up and set....they will never go down even if the economy gets better.
| Thats not true, if petroleum becomes cheaper, not just for a temporary time, but for a long time, and the economy improves due to that, the retailers are not going to pay Hasbro the same prices, nor will Hasbro have to charge the same for manufacturing costs. You have to remember, Hasbro will only make toys if a retailer orders them and pays for them. If the manufacturing costs decrease on Hasbro's part, so will retail prices.

Just like when I was a kid, I couldn't just buy any Joe on the pegs (even when there were plenty to choose from). My family didn't have nearly enough money for that.
Now it's becoming pretty much the same (although under different circumstances). I can't/won't buy every single Joe out there for a couple reasons: 1. Some suck. 2. Some can't be found. 3. Hasbro/Retailers are pricing away those of us with other obligations besides hunting/hoarding toys.
So, someday my kids will get the Joes I really like, can find and am willing to pay for. Kind of like I did, I guess.
The more things change, the more they stay the same...

Maybe its our time fellow tankers!! maybe the rains of joes shall fall again!!

IF these things can't be found anywhere whats the point in increasing the prices on stuff that A can't be found and B that is not selling (likeindy toys tf movie stuff, hulk stuff Marvel legends etc). Makes no carkin senses. |
