I'm sure the economy's going to price a lot of us out of our childhoods soon anyhow.

Interesting, and right after posting higher-than-expected profit and an increase in stock value.
Surreal, even.

Nope, this is the reason: "Please note: At least one item in your order does not yet have a price. We'll e-mail you once it's announced by the publisher."

Now maybe the increase of the prices in the mid-single-digit range for Hasbro's toys is why Target doesn't have a definate price to go on.

2 things though,

1. What is the mid-single-digit range?
2. Haven't we been saying that the prices of toys are gonna go up for a few months now?

Hopefully, any price increase will be limited.

guys this is just like it was when we were kids. this is a more authentic GI JOE experience!

dont you guys remember being kids and not being able to get every figure and vehicle? Some vehicles were just too expensive for our parents.

well now we can be kids again! and remember what its like to not be able to buy any toy we want!

This is the one and only reason I'm glad the 25th/Modern line is drawing to a close. I just can't afford it.

A single carded figure has nearly doubled in price since the line debuted.

That's crap.

I'm gonna guess 5-7%. The range could be lower, but realistically it won't be less than 5. How that will translate into MSRPs, I don't really know. I don't think TRU for example is going to price single pack GI Joes at $7.34 instead of $6.99, not a very consumer-friendly number. So who knows.

Hopefully Target's $7.99 is already taking this increase into account. And just a note that the $28.99 price online (were it final) would represent a 16% hike.

well if hasbro wants to raise prices, let them.

i'm not thinking of getting any of their vehicles with figures that look horrible anyways. like the awe striker w/ leather neck? wow. a recycled gung-ho. good thing i started cutting down on joes that i really want versus the stuff that's been given to us by force.
