As far as Hasbro learning a lesson posted by someone else, I think that is the WRONG attitude. The lesson they might learn is to stay out of the big aircraft business rather than up-ing their game since others can do it cheaper - even if the quality might or might not be up to Hasbro standards. I love the Skystriker, and it is a work of love. The C-130 is just different, but just as longed for within the community. Hasbro isn't likely to go in this direction, but I am glad they revisited their classic jet.

I think the fact that it IS different is what i makes it special. At this point, the Skystriker is somewhat passe compared to the C-130 because of the many 1:18 scaled jets make in recent years (F/A-18, F-22, the JSI and BBI jets), while this is the first USA cargo plane available. It's not perfect, but nor can we see the internal details either.

This takes nothing away from the new Skystriker, nor do I care for all the "HEY HASBRO LOOK, WTF MAN?!?!?!" BS. Who cares!?!? We have a new Skystriker, AND we have a freakin' C-130 finally!!! A flippin' C-130. Some olive drab paint and some camo and we finally have something for Wild Bill to haul the other Joes around in. WHY turn this into a bitchfest? I'm Rick James, bitch. It's a celebration, bitches. |

I think this is awesome.
Can we get some more pics? Great find, must have, and a naughty nice addition to a vintage joe task force.

That looks silly next to joe scale. Cool
I guess. Just not joe scale and looks downright stupid with 1:18 scale stuff around it. |

As a former Command and Control C130E technician, I am all over this bad boy for 40 bones.
The handle jut makes it easier to hand IMO. Thanks for the news, GREAT NEWS!

If nothing else, you can cut it and cannibalize a chinook--we know the Vamp will fit in the back easy, Im thinking cut off the front and switch out the chinook's head then cut the c130 down the middle and attach to the sides of the chinook body/also cut off the tail and back end of the c130 and epoxy the tail onto the chinook body--bigger ramp and wider body. Some cosmetics will have to be done like adding some plastruct but other than that, I still think its a winner. If you want to make it more to scale, switch over to minimates or Small S6 line, that could work to.
Tnanks for the Pix, now please put up more. thanks |
