Well, I knew I would find some fault in these seemingly awesome packs. For the record, I love just about everything Hasbro has done with these sets: good, cartoon accurate figure selection; build-a-MASS Device gimmick; file cards and stands included; very sturdy packaging (unlike the new vehicles); and of course, a DVD of one of the five part miniseries (in a thipak to boot!).

The DVD is where the problem lies for me. I love having the episodes presented as one long movie. I love having the original two channel sound without any Rhino enhancements. However, the video is extremely washed out. It's as if someone bumped up the brightness and killed the contrast. Either it's from a bad source, or someone needs to take Video Re-mastering for the Digital Age 101. With a quick brightness/contrast tweak on Premier, one can get the video back up to par. After a quick comparison with Rhino's original release, (sound effects aside) the video on the Rhino DVD absolutely trounces what Hasbro has done.

Ah well, the sets are only $20 after all. It is what I've come to expect from Hasbro all these years: so close, but they always manage to screw it up in some little (and sometimes big) way.

Hopefully, Hasbro will pass off their masters to a good authoring/mastering house if and when they decide to release the full series.

Where are they in AZ? Look about the stores and couldn't find them, so I guess the have been raided already.

Look at AZ sightings thread. Shin & I got them around Mesa. They are NOT on floor. We each had to ask.

Withe figures at about $7 + each, these packs are a sweet deal.

Long island new york target

I picked up two each at the target near me. They were just sitting there as i came down the toy ile. I could not believe what i was seeing. Everything always comes out on the west coast first and takes two weeks or more to reach the east coast by me in new york. Great figs and my wife is going to kill me.

Baroness - Pistol, some kind of handheld device. Has flippers instead of feet (non-removable)... Air tank and harness appear to be removable, but the mouthpiece looks molded to her head). Goggles are removable.

Destro - Pistol for leg holster. I suppose you could say he comes with the Weather Dominator.
Lady Jaye - Pistol on waist. Spears remove from backpack, appear to be one lower shaft with two upper shaft/head choices. She is also holding a spear, mine was terribly bent and doesn't seem to come apart.
Roadblock - Knife without a sheath... no other weapon. I suppose you could say he comes with the vines too.
Thanks! I'm not upset at the missing accessories. I'm just wondering what extras do I already have or which do I need to get.
The weird SMG is none other than the standard Cobra 'toon gun. I love those. I guess you could say it is a M.A.R.S. special.
Baroness's hand held device is to suck up the heavy water element.
I'm pretty much going to make these my default characters. Anyone want my old figures? Without accessories of course! ;-)

I'm not complaining they are missing accessories, just stating the fact. Although let's be honest, if Hasbro was going to leave out the knives and pistols for Stalker and Snake Eyes, couldn't they have changed the webbing to one of the varieties we've seen that doesn't have the holster? Hmmm... I think I have some figs that came with pistols and knives that didn't have a holster or sheath... have to dig out my figures and see what I have. Worst case, I can borrow weapons from one of the half dozen Snake Eyes I seem to have already.
