As for me, I picked them up today at Target as well. Here's the story:

I stopped off after work to check if they had 'em. I looked up the DPCI on their handy scanners and sure enough! So I look for an employee in toys to no avail, but I track down a "team member" elsewhere. She's very nice and keys in the DPCI and walks over to toys with me. As I told her, they were not on the shelf as everything was on clearance. Since they didn't have a place, she told me that they'd probably be out in a couple weeks when they do the reset. I inquired if they actually had any in stock to which she replied "No. Whatever we have out is what we've got." Hmmph.

I said thanks for checking anyway and headed out of the department. On the way out, I ran into an actual toy department employee and figured I'd ask him as well. He keyed in the numbers and said they had them in the back. I mentioned that there was no place for them in the aisle and he said he knew as it was due for a reset in "a week and a half." Another employee came from the back and I got my two sets just that easy!

I love how some employees are helpful, while others don't want to bother. You have a sellable item in stock. You're in the business of making money. A customer requests the item and you refuse to sell it. I understand that there's a planogram reset date, but there is no release date set for this individual item, so if someone wants it, sell it to them! Just because there's "no place for it" doesn't mean the item can't be sold. It boggles the mind...

Anyway, the sets rock! For $20/each, it's a helluva deal!

Not that this is related to the DVD packs, but I have a similar story... I went to Wal-Mart about a week ago, or maybe a little more. They had a pallet with a ton of stuff, the only item with an actual street date, being Star Wars product for the 26th. I asked an employee if they could help me with the boxes, since I'd rather not have someone rushing over and chastising me, and they said they'd get a manager. A gentlemen comes up, and I tell him that I want a box open, on said pallet. It was on the very bottom, incidentally, and his response was no, it was all street dated. I told him, no, it was not, only the Star Wars product was. He said he was street dated, and I pointed out to him that half of the stuff was already on the shelves. His response was that it was "new mod". I just told him that half of the product out was on the shelves, and he just sort of shrugged and walked away. I never got employee's reluctance to let me buy things. Regardless of what it is, as long as its not something that honestly has a street date... why is the attitude "How DARE you buy toys?" instead of, "How many do you want, and how can I help you?"

Oh and uh... no DVD packs here yet. /ontopic

unfortunately, it isn't really discrimination because collectors aren't a protected class.

on a side not, anyone else's Snake Eyes and Stalker not come with the pistols or knives for their holsters, or just mine?

Protected class or not. How can anyone tell the diffrence from a collector and just another customer? There profiling.
