Thanks for the UPCs! I'm sure they'll get some use.
As for me, I picked them up today at Target as well. Here's the story:
I stopped off after work to check if they had 'em. I looked up the DPCI on their handy scanners and sure enough! So I look for an employee in toys to no avail, but I track down a "team member" elsewhere. She's very nice and keys in the DPCI and walks over to toys with me. As I told her, they were not on the shelf as everything was on clearance. Since they didn't have a place, she told me that they'd probably be out in a couple weeks when they do the reset. I inquired if they actually had any in stock to which she replied "No. Whatever we have out is what we've got." Hmmph.
I said thanks for checking anyway and headed out of the department. On the way out, I ran into an actual toy department employee and figured I'd ask him as well. He keyed in the numbers and said they had them in the back. I mentioned that there was no place for them in the aisle and he said he knew as it was due for a reset in "a week and a half." Another employee came from the back and I got my two sets just that easy!
I love how some employees are helpful, while others don't want to bother. You have a sellable item in stock. You're in the business of making money. A customer requests the item and you refuse to sell it. I understand that there's a planogram reset date, but there is no release date set for this individual item, so if someone wants it, sell it to them! Just because there's "no place for it" doesn't mean the item can't be sold. It boggles the mind...
Anyway, the sets rock! For $20/each, it's a helluva deal!
