I don't think Hasbro would have sold nearly what they did if it weren't for the Doc offer. I know I'm probably gonna break down and buy two more so I can get my second Doc. I think the big H will have a rude awakening on comic pack sales once W5 starts hitting, and a chase Destro head isn't really gonna make much of a difference. |

Be it Profit Making, Trade Fodder, or constructing a chorus line. I wish I could make an exception for folks honestly trying to help out friends and fellow collectors outside the promotion zone. But I couldn't tell you who was being honest in those cases and no one else can claim otherwise. Doc isn't a mass release figure that was intended to be available in every store and to anyone wanting make a quick buck off the impatient buyer. It was a limited run figure and clearly stated it's availability as "While supplies last".
We're so quick to blame Hasbro for not being able to meet the demand, but my arguement is that everytime a Doc winds up on eBay, the demand is exaggerated. In limiting the number of figures available to a given address, Hasbro doesn't remove a problem, but it can ease it's burden.
I think three's a good number, you get one to keep on Card, one to open in a static pose, and one to slip into the seat of your vehicle of choice or give to a friend in need. I even suspect Hasbro thought four would work given the Battle Points offer.
You can argue otherwise, and if valid, so be it, but to go out and horde another 3 or 4 more just because Hasbro is cranking a second batch out to help the folks that already have orders in limbo seems kinda dumb to me. We share our part in this too, we have to act responsible in collecting, especially with special promotion figures.

All this jargon and gobbledygook amounts to nothing. Big words with no meaning. Here is the deal...
Hasbro had a promotion with clear rules. You got one, or you didn't. end of story. Calling names blaming everyone under the sun, belittling, harassing, assuming, and all the rest of the things that went on in here was in vain.
get over it. |

Awesome if the one Doc i ordered is comming after all!! | I agree w/Ultra Prime, we're all educated here. Let's type as such.
Doc's will return. Rest assured.
And on another note, his custom is quite easy, also to those attending SDCC my guess is there will be a riot and blood over many issues, the two dudes I'm going wit (hee hee), *clears throat* with are ready to mace someone in their eyes. ;)

Still unsure why this thread isn't locked. Or at least a title change.
